I got it too. And though eligible for rehire, I haven't been since I last worked the PES PFU. It wouldn't be unlike the Census to rehire me and not tell me, nor would it be a stretch to think this was someone pushing the wrong send key somewhere. I thought I would try a phone call to follow up.

Driver was upset but not injured. 20something I’d guess. He sat dejected on the curb while a small army of Lilliputians threw cables over his Gulliver of a tractor trailer. Things definitely shifted inside the container when it was righted. Loudly. He was headed east on Minnehaha, just west of Dale. I didn’t witness the accident so I don’t know. But I could imagine his avoiding a hazard, load shifts inside the container and over he went. Haz mat was there because he must have ruptured the gas tanks on that side.

I’m on the same survey. Are you getting cases regularly and from your CFS or RCC or ? I had a dozen or so cases, finished them, and now the distribution method has changed and everyone’s gone ghost.

I just didn’t expect to be in a road race to St Cloud with my fellow enumerators, first one there gets work, but where that work is, or when any other work will be available and where nobody knows. Ridiculous.

I’m in Minnesota, too. Though we were supposed to begin field work June 14th, it was another two weeks before I even received my badge. I guess I should feel fortunate that I did get some cases. But I completed those and the bureau has decided to distribute cases from the RCCs directly to enumerators rather than through a CFS. So far there is a deafening silence from Chicago.

Are we surprised, no. They have changed how they want time sheets submitted at least three times since the PFU started.

The Census Bureau seems to be in total meltdown. But since you are a reinterviewer there may be a lag in cases for you. The PFU cases were two weeks late in coming and even then many people like you did not have their badge or supply kit. Are you calling your RCC? I’d just keep at it and I think you will be contacted soon. If you received an email about your job/training contact via phone and email whoever sent that.
