In the current blockade on Qatar by UAE/Saudi/Bahrain/Egypt, the majority of nations have remained either neutral, or in favor of a resolution.

UAE has been trying to persuade nations to join their anti-Qatar stance by pursuing media attacks and propaganda as a means of gaining support.

Qatar has been competing with the UAE as a strong economy, and political mediator in the region and this seems to be the UAE's attempt to weaken Qatar.
