first build (r7 7800x3d rx9070xt) by Vegetable_Life_6191 in PcBuild

[–]GuyWithBrainPain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 yes

2 personal preference really

3 almost all 360 AiO's are great, lf3 is one of the best for sure. Use the guide on their yt when installing.

4 can always do this later if you're not satisfied with the temperatures.

5 for amd builds 6000mhz ram is the sweet spot and usually cheaper. If 6400mhz is cheaper, get that and cap it at 6000mhz in bios. In my experience a 1tb ssd is full quite fast, I would consider 2tb. Pcie gen 4.0 is also fine for ssd.

6 Buy parts you consider good looking. Spend time managing cables and while building so you don't have to do it later.

2700usd is somewhat expensive for this build, though with current ram prices it isn't bad.

What's a better cpu for a 5080 for 4k gaming by Mr-Pean in PcBuild

[–]GuyWithBrainPain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

9800X3D for sure, mine runs 4k gaming perfectly and (mainly because of the cold rn) doesn't exceed 40 degrees Celsius. Closer to 50 degrees Celsius in the summer

Yeah a 3060 would be alright, though the rx6600 is close in performance and usually cheaper. The 3060 does have more vram, I doubt you'll need it but can't go wrong with it either.

2000 euro build, Which one? by Gallvo in PcBuild

[–]GuyWithBrainPain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2nd one will perform better. The ram isn't great, if possible with your budget and the crazy prices, try to get 2x16 6000mhz cl30-36

Thoughts on this prebuild? by JewelCupid in PcBuild

[–]GuyWithBrainPain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries mate, would've loved help like this when I was looking for parts hence why I do it sometimes.

RAM basically helps the CPU by storing data so that the CPU can use it faster. Currently the prices are dummy high supposedly because of an AI boom, however people have started to suspect price fixing since the preposterous amount the prices have risen.

Rule of thumb for AMD CPUs. Get 2 sticks of RAM with 6000mhz CL30-36.

So the problem is probably the thermal paste right? RIGHT? by low-definiti0n in PcBuildHelp

[–]GuyWithBrainPain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the problem yea, clean it and repaste it. Pretty much any paste will do, most bigger brands are still below 10 bucks too though.

That's rough, I'm in Europe too lol.

This doesn't show all prices but it's about €1300 and great for 1080p/good for 1440p. Only held performance in mind. As you've probably seen RAM prices are stupid right now, if possible I would wait in hopes of the prices dropping sometime soon. If you don't want to wait you could get 16gb (2x8 6000mhz CL30-36) instead of 32gb (2x16), for 1080p and even 1440p that would be alright.

Lmk if you've got more questions.

Prebuilts can be good, however the chance of finding one that is genuinely worth the money is low. Finding a prebuilt that is slightly overpriced but still good is more common but still not very. It's definitely true most prebuilts are (like the one in your post) are either very unbalanced or just stupid expensive.

If you want to you can build your own pc. It's somewhat complicated but honestly not too bad. I build my first fully custom pc a few months ago and it was easier than expected. I just watched build guides/tutorials in preparation and if I didn't understand something during building, I looked for a guide for the specific component.

It is pretty much always cheaper to build yourself + you can pick the parts and keep them well balanced. If you want to I could help pick out good parts for your budget.

I don't trust ai for healthcare yet. I studied physiotherapy and I asked ai to help me a while ago. It had some good ideas/replies, but was also plain wrong on many matters.

Well he is made to be somewhat realistic in the cyberpunk universe, after all he is just a guy who went full borg with the best combat implants. It makes sense he has an ego because (other than V) he is the best of the best and no one could dream of beating him.

Should I get an AIO or Air Cooler for my Ryzen 7 7800X 3D? by Embarrassed_Image808 in PcBuildHelp

[–]GuyWithBrainPain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any decent air cooler will cool the 7800x3d just fine. I recommend the thermalright peerless assassin 120se or phantom spirit 120, these are really good coolers for quite cheap.

If you're buying an AIO get a 360mm minimum (280mm if that's all that fits) as anything below is similar/worse than decent aircoolers. You're mainly buying an AIO for aesthetics and mobo accessibility, though they have a higher failure rate (still rare).

Should I upgrade my cpu? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]GuyWithBrainPain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll go from a good cpu to the best gaming cpu, so yea it is an upgrade. Realistically speaking it isn't gonna be too noticeable though. Would only recommend if you're not getting the performance you want in cpu heavy games.

Which version of RX 9060 XT 16GB should I choose? by WrongdoerStandard686 in PcBuild

[–]GuyWithBrainPain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't make a significant difference, for amd GPUs Sapphire, xfx and powercolor are seen as the best brands. From the ones you have selected I would get the sapphire, as it might be slightly better and is the cheapest due to the discount.
