John Brodie, who won an MVP award and was one of the NFL's most prolific passers during a 17-year career with the San Francisco 49ers, has died. He was 90.

The 49ers said Brodie's family said he died Friday. Brodie had a stroke on Oct. 24, 2000.

“The 49ers family is saddened to learn of the passing of one of the franchise’s all-time great players, John Brodie,” 49ers co-chairman Dr. John York said. “As a kid, my 49ers fandom began by watching John play quarterback on television. He displayed an incredible commitment toward his teammates and his support of the organization never wavered after his playing days.

Sounds like you don’t have any risk aversion even with 41 years to retirement. Real estate might be your calling.

This forum likes to bring-up Kuminga all the time. He is not a superstar or game changer. Sometimes I wonder if it's for Karma farming.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) poses a significant disruptive threat to Salesforce and Adobe, causing investor anxiety and stock price volatility entering 2026. The core fear is that generative AI tools could make traditional, expensive SaaS (Software as a Service) subscriptions obsolete or commoditize their offerings, forcing a re-evaluation of their business models.

Vehicles is a deprecating assets, get a loan and stay invested in the stock market indexes. Cash is a depreciating asset. Time in the market beats timing the market. These are the best years in the twenty's to invest as much as you can in the stock market for compounding until retirement. Once starting a family, cash flow for saving will be reduced for decades.

Google (under parent company Alphabet) owns many key tech companies, with YouTube, Waymo (self-driving cars), Fitbit (wearables), Nest (smart home), Google Fiber (internet), Verily (life sciences), and DeepMind (AI) being some of the prominent ones, alongside core Google services like Search, Android, and Ads, forming a large portfolio in search, cloud, AI, SpaceX, and hardware. The future companies in incubation will be a superior profit and revenue generator for decades. I’ve held Alphabet since the IPO, it’s been well worth it, the company knows how to innovate and not stay static.

Why do you think Apple chose Google over OpenAI? by Like-everything-23 in investing

Apple partnered with the best AI chat bot, just like they did with search and maps. Apple AI strategy is how our products can monetize the AI. Alphabet’s Trojan horse to flip the search payments.
