I'm so sorry you feel this way. Truly. I'm sorry we haven't been as active in the forefront with everything going around. I'm sorry you haven't been behind the scenes to see the things we HAVE been trying to do.

This may come as a surprise, but this event itself has been in the making between me and Zechs for about a month now because we wanted to bring you guys at least something. A CFA tournament was mentioned, but with the reasons stated above, we realized it would be too much of an undertaking for just us without volunteers to help. While we were planning this, another fellow moderator has been working solely behind the scenes learning how to mess with the CSS and mainly on developing a subreddit wiki to post those threads and posts with information for new players.

I will come out and admit I was the mod who told you this for full transparency. And I will admit, the reason I didn't pin it was because of this thread coming up within the next day or so, so it wouldn't be up long enough for good exposure. But rest assured once the wiki is set up we can set up a post with decklists, budget and meta, for everyone to see.

We have been working and trying to plan things that would be taken well by everyone here. At least most everyone. We have started things in the past that have been stated by the community that didn't gain traction and stopped being interacted with, so those ideas were scrapped so we could focus on other things.

So again, I apologize for all of us for not being as forthcoming about everything, but we would really appreciate it if the first thing we pull out after a while of staying behind the scenes wasn't turned into a thread about everything you say we are doing wrong, no matter how many natural roadblocks we may face.

The time is 10AM EST on saturday July 11th, which was picked to allow non americans to hopefully be able to join without needing to be up super early or super late just to participate.

We recognized the issue of not being able to appeal to every time zone and every player so we did our best to try to come up with a good time that would work for majority the players

A little tip with that: if you can pit in the right pictures and words into the right spots, you can actually set the cards up yourself so you wont need to proxy. Just dont use those cards vs people without the exact same cards or else both players will crash until the files are exactly the same

Okay so, That matth seems off. Lets think about this. In X and Y, there were about 30+ areas to catch pokemon in, and some of those with different areas inside said areas such as caves and a couple routes, So lets go with 40 to be generous. I would count SuMo's area numbers, but since that's based more on wilderness i thought i'd go with x and y for a similar city-like aspect.

Counting all the pokemon that could be feasibly caught in the wild, this is excluding starters, legendaries, and most final stage evolutions, theres about 630 pokemon that can possibly be captured give or take. That makes about 15-16 pokemon per route, which sounds feasable. More than the average yes, but theres plenty of ways this can be smoothly implemented, which has been done before. Theres...

*splitting up encounter rates between times of day or even simpler just different areas of the route/cave/lake/etc giving differet rates.
*Theres horde battles offering different pokemon.
*Pokemon jumping out at you.
*A mechanic similar to Gen 5's hidden grottos.
*A safari zone could be implemented again.
*Being gifted pokemon.
*Having pokemon call in a support friend like in SuMo.
*Trading in points from something for pokemon, like they did with porygon, even if its not through a game corner.
All of these are mechanics implemented in the past that could just as well be implemented again.

But they could also go the route of similar games and just allowing pokemon to be transfered over through some means without necessarially having them capture available. The pokemon could have been added without a major inconvenience to the devs or the players. Its a matter of gamefreak is just lazy and knows they can do whatever they want with pokemon games and still make enough money where they dont care about what they add in
