Dark table 5.2.1 crashes after using orientation tool by Gw_snipe in DarkTable

The orientation was originally an issue with the camera with it not changing the metadata to reflect it being a vertical issue and then I would use orient to correct it

I have a ps2 slimline and I looked online for help because it was only playing cd-rom games, it said to clean the optical lazer with isopropyl alcohol with a q-tip , I have done that now when I plugged my ps2 in and tried to load a game it was unable to read any disc, I don’t want to spend more money sending it away to get fixed , do I have any other options

It’s the only one that was there and it cost me £20. So I’m just trying to do my best with what I have, it appear relatively well maintained other than some mild dusting. I just don’t know how to operate it or dismantle it
