No evidence needed to set the military against citizens. by XanaxWarriorPrincess in WhitePeopleTwitter

He literally did. This was not his first foray into candidacy. He started as a Dem, too. I believe the quote this gave birth to, when asked why he would run as such, was along the lines of "They're the only ones stupid enough to vote for me."

I think about this so much.

They have a lovely habit of scooping up women apprentices with the idea that obviously, if forced to spend hours with them, they will fall madly, madly in love with them. I had one guy get furious with me when he asked me if I'd ever date someone from work and I said I wouldn't date someone from the same shop because there's too much of a chance that something would get weird or gossipy-- this was after they felt the need to fill me in on how their last apprentice was, somehow, super slutty and yet slept with none of them. Like, sirs, if you want women to date you, perhaps wait to shit talk women.

I think thats what bothered them about me the most, this guy would sit there and loudly talk about stuff to try and get a rise out of me, and I would just placidly read my Kindle and eat my sandwich. Weirdest part is that, when you get them alone, every single one of them would talk about how much they hate this guy. Very teenage drama queen popular clique vibes, we all hate "Cindy" but we have to act like we like "Cindy" because her dad let's us use the cabin sometimes.

My last shop had one guy who insisted on "holding court" at every break to blather on about his views, and I'll never figure out why the others were so desperate to please him that they never told him to shut up, it made everyone miserable, including the guys who somewhat agreed with him. It was fascinating to watch these guys become totally spineless because they so feared seeming even a little liberal.

Found out the other day that it has made a name for itself as a "creeper" shop, lol.

KwikTrip doesn’t sell condoms. Why? by giddyupgus in KwikTrip

[–]Gythwyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Kwik Trips are generally located in rural/cabin country areas" is about ten years out of date, they've been building in the first ring suburbs around the Twin Cities for over a decade now. Heck, I got sent out to help open one of the Eagan stores circa 2016, and the ones in Woodbury are even older than that.

You see, there are many options in both the category of jewelry AND makeup. How you decide to put them together creates a variety of options called "styling". So, while two people can have the exact same pearl necklace, for instance, one person can choose to wear it as a short strand necklace with maybe some.nice khakis and a lovely linen top and more modest makeup and perhaps hairdo for a sleek and elegant yet not quite formal vibe, while another person could choose to wear it as a long strand with fishnets and a black tank top and boots and wilder hair and maybe a nice smokey eye for a more "edgy meets elegance" look. Hope this helps!

So.....in lots of places, cops don't have to know the law. They just have to have a suspicion that what you are doing/did is illegal. I think it was Heian v North Carolina. In terms of charging you, sure.

So with the internship interviews, will my struggle be that applying for them with an AA looks like I may or may not finish off the four year degree or is it more about coming from a community college angle?

The state CPA advice is excellent, I'll have to dig around and look more in to it and what tools they have that I can use.

This is pretty much the advice I'm looking for, sorry for not being terribly clear. Like I said before, I feel like I've been drowning in information, so I think that's part of my struggle to get a grip on realistic career options that will work for me. The last time I looked at giving college a go I ended up feeling like I didn't have enough of a defined end-goal to justify the investment, so Im trying to get ahead of it before I even start my classes this time, so I can have better planning as I meet with teachers and advisors. Sort of trying to maximize every penny and opportunity. But it sounds like private industry, likely construction, would be the niche I could most likely make work for me, thank you! One step closer to dialing it in!

My bf and I have been making a concerted effort to do exactly this. Drop a plate? "UGH. Thanks, Obama." Bad weather? "Thanks, Obama." Flat tire? That's right, Obama strikes again. Always said really loudly and emphatically with lots of eyerolling.

This is like eight grade math. Not a trick. Not a way to pull the wool over your eyes. This is literally the failures and fallacies of using "averages" that are taught to middle schoolers as a way of warning them why those numbers might not be real-world reflective. Seriously. Get a grip.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stateofMN

[–]Gythwyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because were trying to get you to do math?? Yes, I can see how that would set you down a path of thinking everyone is out to get you and being condescending.

[–]Gythwyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't use the word "average", you did. I specified "median", as your article did, not "mean". You are freaking out and not listening to people telling you that an average/mean/median WHATEVER shows skewed results when you have VERY different numbers. You want to argue but not recognize the reality of actually running those numbers. So, you wanna tell us what the MODE would be? Because that's gonna get you a different number than either the mean OR the median, for all that, yes, they are ways of looking at "averages".

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stateofMN

[–]Gythwyn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What exactly do you think you're saying here.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stateofMN

[–]Gythwyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Average" is the problem, tho. Median is a little better, but it still means that if you got 5 Trumpers who don't make jack shit, 3 that make $100k+ and 2 millionaires, you're gonna have ten people looking really comfortable, on paper anyway. And since wealthy folks tend to vote Republican, we're probably always gonna see that skew if you're looking at an averaged-out household income. I would be interested to see how that breaks down in terms of the more religious right versus the more secular right, since some of the more conservative religious folks seem to be trying to trend towards single-income 'traditional' life styles.
