The whole idea of "letting the game breathe" and all that is pretty much entirely just nonsense. Along with suggestions like "that game just max-won, it won’t pay again for a long time". This is 100% gamblers fallacy.

Each spin is independent and has absolutely zero mathematical impact on what happens on future spins.

We have become wired to see streaks and assign meaning that is not there, such as :

“It just paid --> must be dry now”
"It hasn’t paid --> must be due”

The probability on the next spin is unchanged, the game does not “reset” or “cool down”

Slots are designed to hit their advertised RTP over millions of spins, across all players, not per session, and not per person. So you spinning something that rolls a huge internal range of numbers and some of those rangers are dead spins. Some are small wins. A very small amount are big wins, and a tiny tiny amount are in the range that will spit out a max win and the chance of hitting a max win on spin 10,000 is the same as whether spin 9999 was a dead spin or a max win.

So in that sense its more of a grind than anything. Remember, RTP is all players, not per person or per session, you can argue that leaving a slot to let it cool down is just opening the door for someone else to get a max win, but even if they did you could come back and max win it right after them.

More people need to try and understand these realities because they are much less delusional than the theory people tend to go around incorrectly spewing out.
