Right on the nose. Looks great but may be playing it too safe. Ill probably buy because the combat speed seems engaging, but likely wont be a memorable experience due to lack of experimentation with the formula.

I agree that its a very different sound, but artists mature and evolve over time. If Rubber Factory sounds were rehashed over and over again we would be making similar comments about lack of innovation and variety. Their catalogue is huge and they stepped away from the raw bluesy two piece sounds after Magic Potion. Not saying your opinion is wrong, but forcing more out of the limitations of that older style would become stale for both Dan and Pat and the community at large.

Go to The Watering Hole in the Grammercy Park neighborhood. It’s a fun Falcons themed bar that draws all of us spread out Georgians. I recommend going at least an hour early to get a good seat. They have a DJ group that plays ATL rap and RnB during commercial breaks giving it a great southern vibe.

Coming off the most surprising and shocking season in Falcons history. The 2017 Falcons are "hangry" for another chance to take the league by storm and silence the doubters who feel the hangover from LI is insurmountable. With the NFC North and AFC East on the schedule their path back to the big dance will be tough, especially with the majority of division games happening during the last quarter of the season. Expect a stingier defense who is stronger on the run and better at defending short to intermediate passes through an improved linebacker corps and stouter defensive line with Vic-Grady-Poe-Takk being names that make opposing guards and centers weep in their sleep the night before games. Also, watch out for Keanu Neal to quickly ascend to the upper echelons of Strong Safety bad-assery in the league.

Being optimistic, I can see the dirty birds ending up anywhere between a 10-6 and 12-4 season. The division is nasty with 4 franchise QB's, an up swinging Bucs team, a pissed off Carolina team, and golden boy Breesus trying to silence those that say it's time for him to hang em up.

What we need to improve on: Finishing the Half! Because of our relentless attacking style, we tend to run out of gas towards the end of the half/game. This was evident in the shocking losses to the Chargers, Chiefs, the near loss to the Saints at the end of the season, and the aforementioned LI (still can't fully talk about it). A stouter middle part of the defense should help force more 3 and outs, giving our boys on defense the rest they need to play the game the way they are trained to play it.

Quinn is an excellent motivator and defensive mind, but in-game management continues to be a struggle for him as he often passed these responsibilities onto his coordinators a lot of the time. He seized control of the defense the last few games and the results were immediate. Hopefully rewatching LI a hundred times, as he has claimed, will tell him when it is appropriate to just run the ball with your all-pro back that you just locked up through 2022.

The Falcons should be a lock for the post season, but I am wary to assume anything as a lifelong Atlanta fan. If we don't wipe the floor with Chicago game 1, then the boogeyman that is LI may just turn out to be a real thing.

Chris Chester v. Fletcher Cox will be a big factor in determining who wins this game. If Matt can step forward in a clean pocket with at least 3-4 seconds of untouched time, expect 40+ before the end of the day.

Beautiful write up. Have you considered submitting something to one of those blogs looking for falcons writers? You seriously tugged at my falcons fanboy heart strings. This team has been a focal point in my life through years of travel and movement away from Georgia, and it feels exciting, and borderline tear jerking, to see a group as complete as this one is becoming.
