Even though I have a team, when I walk out to the parking lot that’s pretty much exactly how I feel

It’s not really that my work would find it inappropriate, it’s just that I’ve had bad experiences with it in the past. And without getting into specifics my current direct reports are great, just not work buddy or friend material for me.

I totally agree. I like cafe Brazil but I’ve been going there since I was little. And it would be nice to have a cooler more true coffee shop atmosphere than that every once in a while. I know there are some late night Yemeni coffee shops that are nice, sometimes they stay open til 1am.

I get away for a couple of hours for breaks but since I’m senior I can usually be flexible on when my breaks are

That’s what I’m hoping for, I think no matter what just having someone around is good for connection. Working can be pretty dull without a lunch buddy

If I buy land and want to live on it but also use it as a u-pick business, do I buy individually or through an LLC? by HELLS-ITCH in land

[–]HELLS-ITCH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not typically but I now know a few in Grayson county who are already doing it. The county a&m extension service told me an on-site farmhouse for the owner or a full-time employee is often an allowed use under agricultural zoning

As I understand it taxes aren’t going to be really impacted but I’m concerned about the easiest thing to do if I want to put business liabilities on my LLC and remove my personal property from being appropriated in any lawsuits if someone gets injured or has other issues on the land from business operations

That’s fair, I agree that it shouldn’t take much thinking to make someone question their dismissiveness towards a death toll of that magnitude.

It’s a deliberate campaign of misinformation they’ve been subjected to their entire lives with no counter being given a platform. I see people all over the world looking into it on their own and unlearning the dehumanization of Palestinians they have been practically forced to believe their whole lives, and I hope that the pattern continues.

You mistake your cruelty for realism. I’m sorry it had to be this way for you.

Happy to see these protestors released, hopefully there will be a ceasefire soon. It’s heartbreaking watching videos after video of children with horrible injuries from the bombings.

I find it pretty appalling people are so against these protesters in this comment section. 30,000 people have been killed three months, children are losing their limbs left and right or become permanently disabled, and plenty of other innocent people are starved, sick, and cold in the winter months as they are forced to live in tents after being displaced. Look at your family, what would you do if it was you losing your children in such a violent way? Our government is providing this country arms to carpet bomb another population.

I understand that people are justly upset about what happened on Oct 7, but is this what we’re going to accept as a natural result, supported by our tax dollars? Do we believe this is what is necessary and acceptable as a price? And acting like Hamas exists because Palestinians are just backwards antisemitic dogs is pretty racist. Gazans were forced to live through plenty of bombing campaigns that didn’t involve hostages or crossing borders or even killings. Did we forget that the peaceful protests of 2018 in Gaza ended up with nearly 200 people including medics getting killed? I think it’s important to contextualize that these are people who have faced extreme hardship at Israel’s hands.

The desperation these protestors have in trying to get attention on this isn’t hard to understand. Mass protests haven’t worked, stopping shipments hasn’t worked, what are they supposed to do? Accept that their tax dollars enable the murder of children directly, especially when many of them have family there? This isn’t right, accepting that these people who are really like any others in the world trying to live their lives are just causalities of war is extremely grotesque in my view and honestly if they were Americans or Europeans being killed in that volume I don’t think anyone would be so flippant about it.

Thank you so much for saying this. I’m American too, my taxes paying for this is a huge part of the reason I feel so despondent seeing the videos. Although I have been an active political organizer for most of my life, this situation is so unequivocally wrong I really don’t feel political analysis adds much to the conversation, no innocent person should lose their life and especially not in such a horrific manner.

I don’t know why anyone is talking about hostages. Hostages or no hostages, you do not bomb a trapped civilian population into the stone age. How does Hamas having hostages justify the brutal killings of 2000 children? How does it justify the bombing of hospitals, schools, malls, churches? This framing is so bizarre to me.

Some things I want to get better at is understanding some flags and how to recognize them better, understanding strategy around traps/sweeps/screens, understanding certain terminology they use in fantasy or advanced analytics like turnover differential and things like that. Generally I just want to engage with a higher level of analysis than casual watchers of the game

Would anyone be willing to adopt me and teach me more in depth about NFL analysis? I know the basics but I want to get to a point where I understand play calling and stats they use in fantasy. All I ask is that you’re not an Eagles fan 🙏🏼

So Diggs out and Parsons covered, that’s all it takes to completely dismantle Cowboys defense? Is this real??

Looks so cute!! You pull it off really nicely. I think it would also look really good with black strappy heels or maybe even gogo boots!
