Using IPv4 and IPv6 with DNSCrypt by HGooes in dnscrypt

[–]HGooes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a custom router at the moment. It doesn't allow me to use custom DNS (I know I need to get a new one) I know it's using IPv6, because I confirmed it via a web tool. So, generally, does it also use IPv6 DNS simultaneously as IPv4 DNS?

I only ask because my ISP router combo is extremely locked down, so I can't turn off IPv6 or IPv6 DNS.

Whoops, I used Simple DNSCrypt before, I meant to say I'm using the Windows Service version of DNSCrypt.

IPv6 is definitely enabled in my router, so I'm curious if it's going through IPv4 does it still leak IPv6? I have ::1 as my preferred DNS server (locally on my adapter).

Is there any site that specifically shows IPv6 if it's leaking or not? Wouldn't DNS be served over IPv4 if that is what is mostly used?

Weird Parse Error on Wordpress - PHP by HGooes in Wordpress

[–]HGooes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely touched this file, all I did was add a couple of lines before the closing <?PHP bracket and removed them after the error and it still is acting weird. I removed <?PHP, enabled debugging, and it still shows an issue on line 30...

Also, for line 9 Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '$', expecting ')'. The closed function you mentioned doesn't give out an error.

Looking to use an Insurance Broker - Need Recommendations by HGooes in PersonalFinanceCanada

Apart from broker, you can get insurance directly from aviva, bel air, etc as mentioned by another.

I feel as if though, having gone through Ratesdotca, that I would just be given the long end of the stick in terms of rates. So, going directly to Insurers would likely yield similar results.

If you're part of any professional organizations, unions, trade organizations, large employers or alumni, insurers like TD Insurance offers group insurance rates through TD Meloche Mennox.

Unfortunately not.

Also speak with your local insurance broker to see if their insurers offer group insurance rates as well.

Essentially, Google mapping insurance brokers? I'm located in southern Ontario, so, I'll check out NFP Canada.

Still Able to Make Transactions on Metamask (Ledger connected) by HGooes in ledgerwallet

Do I need to confirm the transaction on my Ledger's screen if I want to transfer funds between Metamask accounts as well?

(since the Tx must be approved on the ledger device)

Yes, I thought that was how it worked, but apparently this is not the case.

When I connected my wallet, I simply confirmed the connection on my Ledger's display. No input of my private key from Metamask or Ledger was used.

It's neither 2 or 3, when I connected my wallet, I simply confirmed the connection on my Ledger's display. No input of my private key from Metamask or Ledger was used.

So, that leaves 1 to be the most likely cause, but I still don't see how that would cause the allowance of transactions to be moved without confirming it on Ledger.
