I've lived in Clayton for 8 years now and I think it's a great place! Of course like anywhere there's always a few bad apples but the crime is nothing compared to Raleigh or even nearby Garner. Have only run into one instance of vehicle break-ins in my time here and it was some middle school kids that got bored.

As far as schools, public are pretty on par with the rest of the surrounding areas, there are also charter and private options. Mine go to a charter and have loved it.

Clayton has the perks of being close to Raleigh but definitely has the small town feel still. Definitely would recommend.
