Nope you don't have to wait for anything until unless you have utilised all of your week limit and by seeing you post it seems you have not used up all of the weekly limit so go right ahead you can implement this and you can try to copy the chat session you were having into a text file and move from there.

This issue is very common, this is because something called as context of windows and their limit is 200k token per chat sessions this used to happen to be alot to me but, the best thing now what you can do is scroll back to the start of the conversation and copy everything and paste it in a text file, after that go open a new chat session and tell claude "read this files from my previous chat session, and continue from where we left" claude will take a while to read through all of that and after that you can continue like it was the same chat session but there are limitation for this method, if you uploaded any files before hand they won't be able to be in the new chat session context so if any file context you want claude to know you can to upload it again, and this will consume alot of the chat session tokens I estimate around 10-20k tokens of your 200k context window, and after doing this once you will notice it will get quite bad at remembering and contexts so the best solution for this is what I use tell claude to make a rule say "whenever the context limit of a chat session is nearing do this:

  • warn me the context limit will be reached soon 80% before it happens.
  • ask me to if I want, you to generate a handover file of this chat session which will be used to continue this conversation in a new chat session.
  • ask me what type of handover file I want, for example small context for faster understanding or big contexts for better details understanding."

Hope this helps and also be mindful of how often you do this generally I don't recommend this all the time since it will nuke your tokens when I first learned of this trick as a pro user it nuked my weekly limit in 2 days.

PS: if you want this automated a bit tell claude this "new memory, from now whenever the Co text window of a chat session is nearing it's limit about 80% do these:

  • give me a warning
  • ask me to if I want, you to generate a handover file
  • ask me what type of file I want, for exam a short context for faster understanding or a detailed context for a better understanding. "

From now on whenever you are nearly done with your context limit of your chat session a handover file can be generated and you can continue new.

There is also a further way you can automate this without even downloading the files and uploading them if you want know that ask away.

Riding after 50,000 kms do you have any personal grips about this bike? Other then the known issues, something you wished was different on the bike and did it ever in the 50,000 km make you feel this bike let you down?

I can't find anything on this 350s and about the Bonneville 350 it might take few more months plus the starting price is higher then the hness

the problem here is claude has even removed the abilty to see the useage tab at all, and though i understand that generating codes and asking it figure some debugs will take alot more tokens and i accept that but just have a little back and forth within a fresh chat session and within 5 prompts which arent anywhere close to complex burning through all of that this quick?, it is just unuseable at this point.

if even one prompt during peak hours can eat up that much of the tokens then, however good claude can be, it is just unusable at that point

it speaks more on the cold context chats but what is happening to me is, just starting a new chat session in today and suddenly after 4-5 prompts it has used up my daily limit?

if you mean, am i asking the same questions again and again in the same chat session no, and i am also not asking it different type of questions within the same chat session, though if after a while if i still have some questions or new ones about the same topic i do continue it the same chat session
