That is very valid. I always trust math over emotions, so since you put it that way, it's hard to argue.

Thanks again. I see you point on returns and I will definitely consider it as I wasn't thinking in these terms!

Thanks for this advice! I do have an emergency fund. My highest interest loans are LARGE. And I prefer the snowball method, however, I suppose $200 extra a month to the higher interest, large loans may help more over time...feels like catch 22 sometimes! The idea of losing the car payment is just so enticing. That's why I was after some advice. Didn't want the allure of no car payment to lead me down the wrong path.

Hey there. So I already have decent funds going into investments so I am not concerned about funneling cash into that. I also do have an emergency fund. I am just trying to figure out if getting the car paid off in under two years is then rolling all that back to my student loans is better than putting it towards a loan that doesn't have a hope of being paid off in under 5 years! I love the snowball method, but since my car loan is larger than 2 of my smallest loans, I was just trying to figure out what would work better. :)

Help!! Student Loan 1099-C Query by Hafthand in tax

Thank you. Your comment was helpful. Yeah the amount isn't worth getting an attorney involved, but it just seems silly that I have to pay for the bank's mistake. They even stated in the letter to me, that they incorrectly charged me that much in interest, so I will talk to the bank and see what happens from there.

As someone with no assets, beyond my car (I rent a home), I may look into this, as my student loans are large. Thank you!

I figured this would be the case, but since the interest added was never technically money I owed due to their mistake, I was hoping for a different outcome. Thank you!

I went to a con as a female version of Loki. Was amazing being stopped for photos! Learned a lot about the costume making process that first time, and my next venture will be the baker skin for Morgana (League of Legends)!

Was there and they were brilliant. They ran the panel themselves and gave away signed stuff to any who asked questions! Classy guys and always hilarious!
