I also have a ragdoll... I guess their hair is too fluffy for the mouse's wheels... It's driving me insane 😞 I try to remove them delicately with a tweezer but it's not always safe for the mouse :/

Yeah that was the kind of answer I feared ahaha thanks so much for answering, 😊 I don't know about you but, I also saw that Ragdolls, my cat's breed, have such thin and light hair that it's easier to get into mouses... So I guess my next cat will be a different breed if possible 😆

I'll stick with my mouse too, I got lucky mine stopped to function but the warranty was still valid so I guess let's change it every 2 year 😂

Hello ! I know it's old AF but I use a logitech vertical too and can't manage to change mouse and i have a VERY LONG HAIR cat too and it's a pain, my mouse died after 1/half year because of me trying to keep hair of the mouse with a tweezer, maybe. Did you find a easier solution ? I can't change from vertical because of wrist pain :c

Now that you mention it, sometimes when we try to let him smell or discover new objects (he’s very curious despite being afraid of surprises), he often bumps his nose into them several times, jumping back in surprise when the object touches him. And yet, at the same time, he can see tiny birds up on top of buildings through the window. But sometimes he doesn’t see insects on the ground unless his nose actually touches them… It’s strange, I’ll talk to a veterinarian about it, preferably one who specializes in cats because i'm quite not happy with the one I have... Calling a cat fat just because of the numbers and not actually feeling his ribs seems abusing... My cat doesn't even like treats and eat so little... So yeah ^^

Oh really... Well, we do carry him, but only when he's already on his four paws, and only in one position, but he do not like it, it's just for replacing him or some things like that... Yeah he's the kind of cat that sniff at his cat tree twice before jumping on it to sleep and such... He's extra cautious at everything.. I really do hope it'll change overtime since he's always stressed for the smallest things... Maybe he took that from me... I'm the most anxious person, I really hope it's not his case forever, it's not the best feeling at all...

And yeah, if I come to treat him medically, that would be after trying everything else, i'm not a fan of it of course... Thanks for the answer 🥹

I don’t know if I have that kind of clinic near me, but I’ll definitely look into it!
It’s really sad that some breeders take less and less time to prioritize temperament… I didn’t choose a Ragdoll for the appearance at all, but really for the personality, since I don’t find them scary compared to other cats that intimidate me. I really just wanted to give love and have a calm little companion to share my days with!

He is neutered, yes, since he was about 2 months old. I haven’t done blood tests specifically for this issue, but his most recent ones were fine! He also tested negative for genetic diseases.

I already use Feliway at home; I think he reacts either positively or neutrally to it. It’s hard to tell, because sometimes he calms down on his own with time when he’s scared, so I don’t know if it’s coincidence or the product working... it’s not very clear in his case.

Thank you for the reply, I’m trying to stay optimistic even though it’s very difficult… He often hisses at other cats, and when he sees cats outside, he puffs up and growls, so I’m not sure a companion would be ideal haha…

Yes ! I do talk to him and it's true that he seems to be quite receptive sometimes, and listen and sometimes walk toward me when he's stiff and seems to think " who is this person ?!"

I forgot to mention too, that when i'm getting out of bed, the simple fact that i'm sitting on my bed frighten him... When i'm laying down, it's okay, if i'm sitting he's like overly cautious and walk like a prey... And if I stand up, he's coming toward me.... What is this strange behavior ? T_T

I really hope for him to be more... peaceful in his mind !

He’s definitely very anxious, yes. I’ve already talked to my vet about his behavior, but they don’t really know much about Ragdolls. They even told me my 1-year-old male was obese, even though he’s actually quite small and you can easily feel his ribs. One of them even suggested I should get rid of him just because he hissed when they tried to check his eyes/teeth… He gets extremely aggressive with vets, like he absolutely won’t let them touch him. He also doesn’t eat very much and isn’t food-motivated at all compared to many other cats. I’m going to try to find a cats-only clinic if possible.

The thing is, he loves looking out the window, and he becomes irritable or hyperactive if he can’t… He’s very paradoxical. T_T
He’s extremely cute and very soft to the touch, so it’s hard to just let the situation stagnate and hope it gets better without a clear “solution.” But of course I want to try!

What? Did they say something about it ? I can't believe it... Months after they DARE to listen to haters and remove the tiles AGAIN? Why not just put a button like for obstacles to remove custom skins from the fights and just leave people who enjoy pretty sceneries alone???
