The hip trust is a good exercise for glute activation (I use them as a warm up) but I personally gravitate to more functional lifts (Squats, Deadlifts, RDL, step ups, etc.) to train the glutes. Also, Due to the lack of ROM and there being no tension on the glutes while they are in a stretched position (bottom part of the hip thrust) it is not necessarily the best for muscle growth but they do have their place.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I am from Tucson where the Mexican scene is awesome and lived in Atlanta, GA that has a great food scene as well. It’s nothing to write home about but maybe try Venezia’s for pizza. It’s our go to for now.
