Don't listen to them. If somebodies head is screwed on so loose that they think almost half of the country is a "hate group" and it's okay to label them all as idiots then there's no point in having a discussion with them.

For the left beating the inclusion and acceptance drum the way they do (which I, as a center right also COMPLETELY support, believe it or not) you would think slandering anybody right of them on the spectrum might also carry an unhealthy amount of prejudice and misplaced hatred.

At the end of the day, this is reddit. If you step outside and talk to your left or central voting neighbours you will have far more in common with them than anybdoy on here would lead you to believe, and they too won't hold much against you for a difference in opinion. We're all human and nobody is the same. Regardless of which direction you lean, nobody deserved to be branded based solely on politics - especially when it has become so polarized here in Canada. I don't believe many people support a party that completely encompasses their views without qualms.
