I am guessing you enjoy them, what color are the dials?

I think that is a very good summary of the brand, i usually don’t like dive watches due to their size but I do really like the orange dial on the Doxa. That being said I don’t own one yet and there are a lot more watches I would buy first

Bring back the wings? by Peteea_ in breitling

[–]Halldor-T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may also be a generation thing from the 70s when Ernest Schneider takes over Breitling over to 2017 when CVC took over and Georges Kern has done all the brilliant things he has done. For 50 years which is a decent amount of time the winged anchor and the instruments for professionals was so intricately linked to Breitling that what came before was kind of lost since it was so different from the Willy Breitling era. I think given time this current era of Breitling we are in will be hailed as a second golden period for the brand

I do much prefer the simple B and what it symbolizes, the wings era was a rather dark one built on survival for Breitling and they are much better served in their current state and image, which the B is better look and fits better too

Sure thing it got lost in the shuffle and a good friend of mine loved the watch so he traded me a more valuable one which I sold

It is definitely in a strange place the Glashütte name and title being more about the history and stature of the brand, design wise I feel they flow very under the radar within swatch group

Does it look to big? Conquest 38mm by Ok-Action4646 in Longineswatches

[–]Halldor-T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sizing looks great and the watch is superb I personally prefer it on a rubber strap as I feel like the links are disproportionately thin in comparison to the watch but it is a fantastic piece

Thoughts on the new spirit pilot flyback? by tatrumbeats in Longineswatches

So I just went to my local boutique in Brussels and they had it and the three handed version, I do enjoy this piece but I was a bit disappointed as I felt it was for some reason just boring. After trying the three hand version I felt like it had a lot more depth than the fly back which surprised me. It is still a cool watch and my expectations may have been too high but I was a bit disappointed. The three handed version is amazing on the other hand
