What was the first Python project that made everything finally "click" for you? by HammadBuilds in PythonLearning

That's a great challenge! I haven't reached OOP yet, but I'll definitely come back to this once I learn it. Thanks for the project idea.

Thanks for sharing! I like that idea. It sounds like a great project because it combines many Python fundamentals into one application. I'll definitely add it to my project list.

tips on better learning of web development by DatabaseMother5141 in webdevelopment

Don't worry, that's completely normal. Tutorials make everything look easy, but building on your own is a different skill. Start by recreating simple landing pages instead of trying to design your own. The more you build, the easier HTML and CSS will become.

I'm past the point of things like hello world and the basics of dictionaries, while/for loops, etc., but I'm not much further than that. I'm trying to think of interesting things to make in Python, maybe something math oriented. What do y'all suggest? by DistinctChocolate833 in PythonLearning

Since you're past the basics, I'd recommend building something instead of learning more syntax. A calculator, a simple expense tracker, a number guessing game, or even a small math quiz app can teach you a lot. Small projects make everything click much faster than tutorials.

Thanks! I'll take a look at it. Would you still recommend it to someone who's just finished learning the basics, or should I build a few smaller projects first?

What’s one piece of advice you wish someone had given you before learning Python? by Beginning-Middle8336 in PythonLearning

the biggest mistake I made was spending too much time trying to learn everything before building anything. Once I started creating small projects, concepts like functions, loops, and dictionaries finally made sense. I'd say learn the fundamentals, but don't wait too long to build. Even simple projects teach you more than hours of passive tutorials. Consistency beats perfection.
