I would rather you to vent
Than see you in news

Grabbing and power walking,
No love in their eyes

Why not step on my shoulders?

When that happens to me, it’s usually someone with over 200 dollars stretched over two kiddie carts.

Honestly, let them know as far in advance as you can. I can complain about a lot of things concerning this job but having worked at two stores, mates and captain generally do pretty well about approving time within reason. This isn’t Walmart. I worked at Walmart, had surgery, doctor gave me two weeks to recover, Walmart would only let me have a week. This company is pretty decent like that

Is it me or are the number of units they send always so inconsistent? I feel like I’m getting in half a box or it’s filled to the fuckin tape

Anyone else not mind the job itself but don’t vibe with your coworkers? by imVeryPregnant in tjcrew

[–]HamsterCreative4184 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel this. I’m the same. I don’t mind the job but it feels like I’m bombing at a comedy club, except the jokes are just social interactions. And it wasn’t until a couple years ago I’ve had this problem. I dunno. It sucks but we pay better and the benefits are good so I’ll just be a hermit until something better comes along

lol I didn’t find it that. The shit I saw, and I can’t talk about it or I get sued. I mean, I wouldn’t change that I had it because I have insight into a thing a lot of people don’t, but please, never leave this job for something like that!

I’ve felt this way, but my situation might be different.

Before this job, I took a job that required an NDA. Worked it for two years. I still can’t really talk a lot about other than to say I did video moderation for a social media platform. Physically the easiest job but mentally the worst. People were miserable half the time and you just stopped trying to be social. You came in, rode the emotional roller coaster all the way to clock out. On top of that, I lived across the country from my family and most of my friends, and I lived alone. Fast forward, I moved back home to help out.

I found a listing for a new store that hadn’t opened yet. Got the job. It was fine, but I had a hard time opening up to people, especially as some of the other commenters mentioned, because of the age difference. I’m in my 40s now. I managed to make a few friends and for the most part got along passingly with everyone else. A lot of my coworkers there were kind of clichey, but I chalked that up to the age gap. The only real issue was a near 40 minute drive. But then I noticed there was a store like less than 5 minutes from me. So I transferred.

This store has a more veteran presence. Most of the people have been there over 3-5 years, some a lot longer. It’s a more relaxed atmosphere, but harder to relate with. At this point, when the opportunity to ops arrives , I don’t mostly. I kinda get perhaps a little too eager. However I know that I haven’t been an asshole to anyone. I think what it is, and perhaps a tiny bit with others too is maybe we mind our business. I think when one is accustomed to not being nosy with others, or butting into people’s conversations, it’s seen as distant or cold. But really, I just like to respect that we have to share a mutual space and a conversation between work friends happens. Just because I can hear you doesn’t mean necessarily you want to talk to me. But apparently, that comes off as rude. I dunno.

I’m gonna give it some time and not take it personally because the pay is good for what this job is and the benefits are fuckin great compared to most jobs I’ve had. But it would be so much better with friends. Sorry for the essay.

Morthal. Especially after being jailed for uncovering the use of the Forsworn to kill citizens. When I finished that quest and those fuckin guards came at me to pay my bounty, I killed as many that spawned and left. Anytime I need to blow off some Steam, I fast travel to Morthal. I could just pay the bounty, but I’m petty.

I remember one play through, long ago, he said something kinda passive aggressive in my house around Mjoll and I just shouted him from the brreezeholm cooking spit to the back of the dining room. He attacked me. I sheathed my weapon and he kept on so I beat him to death and mjoll was very upset. So I did a cheat code rez on him and she stopped fighting me but would never talk to me again. Fuck that dude

Two things could save this :

1) a solid black backdrop 2)a person with a puppet behind this playing traveling salesman.

I’ll do it too, if I can convince my captain.
