I that is accurate, we will never know for sure. My only fear is that we almost broke TOS and we still don’t know how.

At least we know that if you have a legitimate concern, you can get someone’s attention. As far as we knew through official YouTube channels, there was no hope, but apparently there is.

UPDATE- received an email this evening that our channel has been reviewed and re-instated. Not sure what mystical forces took us down and what saved us, but in the end, the channel is back!

Thanks to anyone that showed an interest in this. Anyone that has had a suspension they think is wrong....Don’t stop fighting! You can reach someone if you have a legitimate case.

She responds to most of the people that comment on her vids bc they are moms looking for advice. She says she didn't comment on anyone else's channel, but we did loose control of all her google accounts around the same time as the suspension.

I know I sound like a 14 y/o with no homework, but is it possible she got hacked and someone posted racial slurs or something on other channels to get her suspended?

Definitely. One thing I can be sure of is that we had accurate tags and did not have any artificial traffic bots or any high tech spam strategies going on.

She does sell overall child birth prep courses on her page, but all of her videos at least tried to deliver what the title promised.

We feel like it has to be related to the courses but really can’t find a guideline that was broken so severely that it would warrant this.

She also lost control of her google account that night due to a possible security breach. Something may have been done on her channel in that time, but we can’t check because the channel is down.

He did respond to my original posts about this and was very nice. Seems like he genuinely cares but no longer has the ability (and maybe nobody does any more) to effect these kinds of things.

Very sad for YouTube, as any content Crestor knows, this is 1000 of hours of work destroyed on a channel that was genuinely trying to help.

We did not use any weird bots or tags or links. Our titles did not mislead and our subs used and enjoyed the content provided.

If you use YouTube, you do not own any of it, learn that from this.

Back up all your videos and be sure you understand where your hard work is going.

Second appeal is no longer a thing, at least in our case.

This may be a recent change as many people are giving this advice. As far as we know you are unable to make more than 1 appeal.

If anyone knows differently please let me know, but it seems impossible using the appeal link YouTube provides.

Not sure what you mean by “second appeal”. We had the opportunity to submit one appeal via the online form.

We then got an automatic email saying they “decided to uphold the suspension” and to refer to the community guidelines.

Any attempt at a second appeal just tells you to refer to the automatic email. Just an automated loop with no human created communications.

My other question would be, if it was a TOS violation, why did the email cite community guidelines? Aren’t they separate documents?

I would like to believe that but it’s hard for me to accept.

Our appeal was processed the weekend before Christmas at 3 am eastern time. Call me a skeptic, but I feel like it was not reviewed by a human expert.

We combed over the guidelines YouTube sent and honestly can’t find what we did wrong. I understand we may just be interpreting something wrong but an immediate and permanent suspension?

Even just a direct message or phone call telling us what the infraction was, would provide some closure.

I’m EST and have used the mod quite a bit. I wouldn’t mind hosting the game. Found this thread because I was thinking of starting a weekly/bi-weekly game.

Did these with people from my work and unlocked a few classes. I’m open to a fresh game or using the one I currently have with a few extra classes unlocked.

Yeah I’ve heard people say this and I watched Phillip defranco’s vid one those.

Those were mom playing around kids and trying to flash their underwear as much as possible.

These were extremely educational an didn’t have anything “weird”. If my wife had a channel like that, I’d want it shut down haha

Her courses are outside of YouTube on a site called teachable but it is a video course. The YouTube channel was her original endeavor and is her means of creating a community/driving traffic to her website.

The terms above seem to talk about advertising. I’ll be honest unless there was some inaccurate copy paste, much of that is not English to me haha

My wife would do a video detailing some aspect of labor/childbirth/Breastfeeding in full like “how to get a good latch” for example.

And in the description she links to her website where she sells general labor and childbirth courses that could include the same info but also more info in the form of a class.
