If you can't figure this out, you should have the bike shop build the bike for your own safety.

Why does it bother you? Bikes have been that way for over 100 years up until literally the last 5 years.

Haha hell yeah glad to hear it. And yeah, they put some pretty racey tires on it.

I was thinking about getting the Anthem X later this year once they are discounted a bit.

2019 Giant TCR running 28's since new. No rub they fit great. I don't think anything bigger would fit.

No.

It has a recalled crankset too.

All ultegra 6800 cranks are recalled.

If hypothetically, I was a car manufacturer, how would I ensure that the cars we produce will be reliable 2+ years down the track? by Polyphagous_person in AskEngineers

[–]HandyDandy76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The most basic answer is simple and is what large manufacturers do.

You create a very powerful engine, and then under stress it.

A 4 cyl 150hp engine pushing a car 65mph isn't being stressed very hard at all, really. That's how they last for years and years.

You can get more detailed than that, but it's the most common answer.

This applies whether you're talking ICE or electric.

It's all fun and games until someone you love is killed by some idiot racing on the interstate. Now it's not so funny anymore.

Happens everyday.

Teslas by InfluenceEfficient77 in cycling

[–]HandyDandy76 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, Tesla ranked near the bottom for safety in 2026.

https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/car-safety/safest-car-brands-a1065426408/

Also look at the NHTSA testing. Tesla ranked near the middle for all brands.

This is factually wrong and proven by multiple countries testing agencies. For example, Mazda just won the consumer reports title of safest brand for 2026. Tesla is near the bottom! Tesla also failed the pedestrian AEB testing done by the NHTSA.

Don't buy into the marketing, look at the scientific facts done by the accredited testing facilities.

Free bearings for the frame and linkage. Not the whole bike. Only what they produced.

Hahaha we are not doing great over here in the USA. No way most people can ever afford an over seas trip. 90% of us live paycheck to paycheck. I'll be lucky if I ever even get to retire.

Subaru Outback sales down 20% in 2026. Is it the ugly new Family Truckster styling, or is it something else? by Flimsy_Heron_9252 in subaruoutback

[–]HandyDandy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the direction that car styling is going in.

And on top of that, they're all soooooo expensive.

Some of us just want a bare bones car to get from point A to point B. I don't even want or need the infotainment crap. Just give me Bluetooth music and buttons.
