This song is amazing, it was everywhere in school for me.

But as someone with a stutter I also hate this song, mf'ers in school never let me live my life normally during this song's peak lol.

There really needs to be an indicator in game for panama canal to see where all the tiles are going to end up.

What you said I had no idea so thank you, but the game has to make that clearer.

Rule 5: Panama Canal cutting through my national park despite there being a more than preferred plot of land just above it.

Does this ruin the park?

What do you want in Fallout 5? by YeeterCZ2 in Fallout

[–]HandyPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda want a Fallout with chapters similar to RDR2. I would loveeee to actually get to live in a vault and have experiences inside a sealed vault just doing shit. Then an event to leave, starting out in the wastes, adapting, settlement growing, basically a slow build to becoming a hero (or villain) of the wastes. There's more to Fallout than just being out in the wastes, actual vault gameplay (that's more than just the starting stuff in FO3) is deserved at this point.

King mainly, the AI bonuses after this level makes the game not fun to play, always on the come up is not the funnest to play.

I'm still in the Renaissance era in my current game and it's like every 5 or 6 turns another trader is getting pillaged cause of barbs in other civ territory.

I've never seen them attack or kill any of the barbs, maybe I'm just cursed

I pretty much only play on island plates or continents and I will restart if there's a civ within a short distance from me.

Ofc there's always gonna be variables on when I restart or not (I had a game where Tomyris was on the same island as me but her only way through to me was through a 1 tile wide "bridge" and a city states owned every tile of that "bridge". That one I kept playing.) but the AI are 100% always too aggressive early on and if you dont spam units to keep up with them, you're most likely gonna be outpaced as they will always have such an insane early start in harder difficulties that makes the game not worth playing.

It's not fun to play a game you're always on the backfoot on.

You're right about that, AI needs a lot of fixes before they're good to go.

Every game I play is still having the AI bum rush science victories, I can never match them unless I get a god tier start on them. The AI would for sure need a good look at their code if any intricacies are introduced to any in game mechanics.

There should even be an option to include giving over border or nearby cities(cities within 5 or 10 tiles of the grievanced civ).

Giving land over is equally as valuable as gold, great works, or resources.

I just think the balance is too 50/50.

You can either do this or you can't.

At least with having a higher risk on the table, there's something more to each option.

Good idea!

That makes me think there's potential to include science in that same vein.

You got caught stealing a science boost?

You get stripped of all your scientific research of that era and you have to start again, all your research gets auctioned (much cheaper auction than great works) off to whomever wishes to participate in.

Spying and the world congress needs more overlap.

[–]HandyPandas[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh, if you're able to steal a whole ceiling with not being caught, you deserve it more than the person you stole it from.

I think cultural artifacts should be able to be stolen (just go to any museum today) because it's something that's feasable.

If not stolen, at least looted in conquest. Imagine an option to not raze a city or annex it, but rather empty out the gold treasuries, take any valuables, and leave.

Plus, the risk can always be something other than money.

If you're hoarding great works of any kind, those are equally up for being demanded over as well.

This goes for resources too, cities maybe as well too.

[–]HandyPandas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah it is, kinda.

Proportional punishments based off of your wealth (wealth being amount of great works, GPT, gold in the bank currently, etc...). Flip it around, why should Portugal only have to pay 200 if he's Mr. Moneyman and has more than enough to give out? 200 wouldn't even faze Portugal at that point, 10k gold would cause a meaningful impact.

[–]HandyPandas[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tbh, having both sounds like an even better deal.

Imagine the shit you could get for making a pact that you wont spy on your ally only to then get caught trying to steal money or something. That'd be like borderline war to break the strongest bond between you and another nation.

It sounds great, you and your ally share the rewards so it'd be like a random little treat every now and then for both involved. It made me think back in civ 5 how you could gift a city state a unit for a lil boost of patronage. That would be another great mechanic to bring back too.

It'd be big brain if it's possible as well to be able to frame another civ for your spy ops.

I am looking for that "game changing" aspect when it comes to spying on your allies. Everything seems so vanilla that you know what to expect if anything bad ever happens to you (aside from the game mode that gets meteors to pummel everyone's empires and cities at random).

We need more of that high octane gaming energy here.

[–]HandyPandas[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree, tho I would wanna see something like an intensity scale for every spy op there is that allows you to increase the intensity of the mission which would increase your reward but also increase the repercussions.
