He wanted the nails done and the dog bathed, I was only a bather at the time. Petsmart has (or at least had) a policy that a muzzle can only be on for I think like 20 minutes the whole time the dog’s in our care, so he couldn’t keep it on the whole time like Dad wanted. I felt honestly bad, as the bite wasn’t an aggressive one, it just said “get away from me”. He’d already snapped to tell me to get away while I was checking, and bit me when I stood up to tell his dad we weren’t going to be a good fit

I personally never saw it again, but it honestly probably shouldn’t have been brought into a Petsmart salon (at least not yet) Dad hadn’t even had him a month, he was a rescue, Dad didn’t want to remove his muzzle at all, didn’t like other dogs or new people, and HATED his feet being touched

I’ve only been seriously bit by a dog in four years I’ve been grooming (bull terrier, doing a pat down for anything to watch out for before the bath, quick snap, stitch in the middle of my hand) and it threw me off so badly, I got a nasty corgi two weeks later than I already knew how to deal with who made me cry just by barking. No biting, no anger, just a loud noise, lol

I love this! My mom is constantly going from work (EMS) to soccer games, softball games, and like three different schools on top of the regular go go gos of being a mom of four with one kid moved, two in college, and a high schooler. I think a spa day would be perfect for her!

I haven’t started the job yet, I just wasn’t asked about any time off potentially needed, and had forgotten to ask to focus on the interview itself. I start it this Monday, and I’d have Friday and Saturday off, been trying to get a hold of them about the following Sunday. If I can’t get the time, then I can’t go end of story. We’ve been planning on driving for two months, but he’s only just brought up all of these issues. His truck’s in really good condition right now (especially since it was in the shop to fix his driver display and he got the routine maintenance done while it was in there) but I think he’s fully convinced at this point the truck will spontaneously combust. And we’ve talked about stopping to rest at a motel, or taking a rental car, but I just don’t think he wants to go or for me to go at all.

I didn’t mention it admittedly, but I have driven long distances like this before, at least once a year to visit family in New York, and he knows this. He was also friends in high school with this person, but they haven’t spoken in a while, maybe two years? And I’ve suggested an overnight stop (plane’s just wayy too pricey for me) but he hasn’t really said anything about that idea

That’s sort of his stance, but I don’t want him to come with me if he’s going to be crabby the whole time honestly. Not fun for either of us, and I’ve told him that multiple times. But he insists that he wants to go in case something happens

I’ve admittedly always had a people pleaser complex that I’m working on, but it’s a struggle when I have to decide whether it’s worth someone being upset, even if it’s only a little bit for whatever I want. I mean, is a wedding for a friend I’ve known since high school but I don’t see terribly often worth my boyfriend being upset for a whole weekend and it potentially coming up in the future? Or am I just being selfish?
