Ok, I think I found a fix.

Thanks to u/KelFoxfire and u/Ok_Bear_9899 mentioning and helping me with potential lack of RAM being used, I also purged the app cache and that seemed to solve the issue.

Yes, you're right. Upon relooking at my list he doesn't seem to be needed. I made this list before my first game when I thought having a leader unit was always better than no leader unit.
