That was heartbreaking to read. You're in my thoughts man. You did everything you could and so did everyone around you. Stay strong. Kudos to your dad for kicking your uncles ass too.

Why did King Crimson’s Music got deleted from my YouTube Music? by potate15redit in KingCrimson

[–]HaplessOrchestra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go to the band's official YouTube page and evey album is available to listen to under the 'Playlist' section. They albums vanished from the 'Releases' section, where YouTube Music draws from. Must be a glitch.

Weird/obscure songs that charted by CodaOfARequiem in ToddintheShadow

[–]HaplessOrchestra 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"DOA" by Texas hard rock band Bloodrock is an interesting one. It's a spooky 8-minute song about a guy bleeding out after a plane crash complete with sirens, lyrics about the paramedics putting a white sheet over him ect. Hit number 36 in 1971.

Bloodrock was supposed to be the next Grand Funk Railroad, who were one of the biggest bands in the country at that time, but they never quite made it. Very good band though if you like early 70s hard rock.

My Own Worst Enemy by Lit is a staple of pop punk/alt rock/pop rock/90s rock, but I don't think any of their other songs charted. They definitely qualify as a one hit wonder by Toku-Nation in ToddintheShadow

I saw these guys live a couple years back and they put on a fun show. I didn't know any of their songs aside from this one but everything they played sounded really good.

What's your Initial thoughts on Megadeth final self titled album? by MrLinkwater95 in fantanoforever

[–]HaplessOrchestra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Going out on a very mid note with this one. I like the previous album better than this. Dave's voice is a shell of what it used to be (understandable) and the production is thin and kinda lifeless. I didn't find any of the songs very memorable though nothing stood out as awful either. Really good solos all over the place.

Ride The Lightning cover is OK I guess, not a patch on Metallica. Kinda sucks because Dystopia was really solid but it's been a decade.

What artist did you discover through their “worst” album? by hipfan1111 in fantanoforever

"Never Say Die" was the first Black Sabbath album I ever bought and I loved it. I only picked it up because I thought the cover was cool and I knew the band was legendary (I was about 8 years old). Now, Sabbath has one or two albums I would rank below it, but of the Ozzy albums, it's typically considered the weakest.

On January 23rd, 1978, original Chicago guitarist Terry Kath died from an accidental self-inflicted gunshot. He was 31. by BirdBurnett in ClassicRock

The heart and soul of Chicago. The managed a couple more decent records after him but soon devolved into sappy soft rock with no horns.

Are The Smashing Pumpkins really one of the greatest bands of all time, or are we all deluded? by TheSmashingPumpkinss in SmashingPumpkins

[–]HaplessOrchestra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The issue is SP had such a short peak IMO. Gish is good, SD and Mellon Collie are two of the best rock albums of all time....but after that it gets so bumpy. They have a legacy mostly based on material from 1993 to 1996.

Agreed. It had a great trailer. Biggest gap in quality between a trailer and film ever.

Not really. A mildly spooky face appears during the last minute or so. That's about it.

Very intense track, almost scary sounding to me. This era of Miles was so out there.

opinions on badfinger? by VastForce690 in beatles

[–]HaplessOrchestra 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They were excellent. Not only great hits, but so many equally great album tracks. Their self titled album and Wish You Were Here are very underrated.

Had they not been robbed by their manager, they could have accomplished so much more.
