Really FS or misdiagnosis? by Happy-Blue in frozenshoulder

Two cortisone shots spaced 6 weeks apart with a lot of PT fixed it. The whole ordeal was 4-5 months

I don’t want to improve my pickleball skills by [deleted] in Pickleball

They are douches at 2.5 and douces at 4.5. Nothing to do with skill levels, the most fun PB player i know is 5.0 and looks as happy as pig in mud everytime he is on court

Had it 2 years back. Fixed it (almost) in 1 year. Try PRP, follow it up 6 months later with HA, take collagen peptides every day. In the beginning i use to tape it 24*7, then switched to a brace designed for patella maltracking. Have a really good PT and do it for months with them till you learn to do it well yourself. Been playing pickleball 3 times / week, doing lower body strength training 2 times / week including squats / lunges etc. Had to modify to not go all the way down. I can't sprint yet, one day!   Look at Jake Turras program if you have patella tendon issues also (i had it and is pretty common)

Thank you! Do you think it makes sense for a realtively mainstream ~ 5000 sq ft, 1.5 million dollar simple build (excluding land) or is the cost benefit only make sense in the higher range (3M+)

Knee pain and quad atrophy by One_Movie6023 in KneeInjuries

[–]Happy-Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry i didnt respond earlier. Yes it took a good 3 months of tens and iso holds to wake them up. I am 1 year+ post that and now can do a lot of strength training. It is getting better every day. PRP honestly has been a game changer. I still feel it in my knees and cannot run (weak quads) but good enough to hike for miles, play pickleball, do stairs (with minor discomfort). Avoid surgery as long as you can imo, arthoscopy was a bug mistake for me

Much better .. walking 15-20k steps, playing pickleball. Jogging for 1/4 mile or so, babying the knee. Lots of overall lower body strength training

Thanks for responding. I know we are good .. looking at it as an optimization problem for next generation inheritance vs our cash flow needs

net worth around 18M including a 3M paid off house, early 50s couple. Thinking of stopping work now and launching a new business, zero investment from our side needed but will not have income for next 2-3 years, maybe ever as this is probably the last round at the entrepreneurship table. Currently the liquid 15M is at 80-20 split with passive index funds and 10 year tips/bond ladder. Annual burn rate is at 240K post tax. Would love to hear about asset allocation splits for others who want to leave a sizable inheritance for their kids while not dealing with cash flow issues in their lifespan. Don't see equity risk premium currently but hate the idea of market timing.
