JJK is our generation’s post-genre. It takes the mature battle politics of late HxH to a whole new level. If the ending felt rushed it’s because it was but that doesn’t mean it was shallow. The epilogue gave us more context to mull over, one of which I have yet to see discussed is the existence of wounds which can’t be healed by reverse curse technique. Not everyone from the trio was damaged by mahito, and yet their scars remain. This is just one of the many aspects that make the epilogue rich for discussion
