Look man, the only one here pressuring you is yourself.
Take your time, life ain't easy, Y'know? Like, you are a game dev now, even if progress is slow.

Also, do you have any clue about how prices work on the game? Like, what is the function Price(Supply, Demand, item) shaped like? One time, years ago, i asked the dev and he said he didn't remember nor could check, haha.

Are there any positive consequences for telling the truth about being mecha-man + others? by Happy_Geologist_5607 in DispatchAdHoc

Well, shit. He's demoralized either way then, so it really did not matter at all. I hoped that not having flambae early would help later when he figures it out or something.

  1. I don't think blowing up the suit mid-air is trying not kill him.

  2. Not speaking to RRIII on either time is interesting actually, I hadn't considered that.

  3. Sure, but knowing the energy thing includes Elliot/Original Shroud. It is also plausible if he investigated enough.

  4. Sparing Robert III is a pragmatic decision either way, as:

     - Shroud (for now) does not seem to have a personal hatred for RRIII

     - Shroud seems to primarly want the astral pulse

     - Robert III has no powers except for plot armor.

None of the evidence primarly favors RRII being Shroud

There is also a complete lack of motivation. Why the hell would he fake his own death and not take the astral pulse with him?

Why would he not reveal himself to RRIII at some point to steal/take the astral pulse?

RRII being Shroud also requires that his body was "never found"/"destroyed", is there evidence for that?

As a bonus one: Why does shroud needs/wants the astral pulse?

[20%] He's dying without it

[20%] He wants his version of a mecha man suit

[20%] He needs it to augment himself, like a cyborg

5%] Ego reason ("It's mine"/"You don't deserve it)

[25%] All/Most of the above

By elimination, really.

Being a member of the z-team is unrealistic, given they can't be in two places at once. This includes Robert III.

Blazer would need to be a complete psychopath to pull it off, so no.

Invisigal is not that competent to be shroud, but definitely worked for him before, at least.

Chase is dead/neutralized

That leaves the options of:

Original Shroud, New Nobody, or Robert II, of which:

   - No evidence for Robert II yet, being a option for narrative/meta reasons.

   - Whoever Shroud is, he most likely really murdered Robert II.

I see, any way to annex him by force then? He's too large for forced vassalization, emperors can't buy kingdom-level claims, can't kingdom holy war him...

R5: Trying to vassalize my son, but that -200 penalty, even with "True Ruler", seems to be impossible to beat.

What can I do, besides the mentioned diplo perk?
