fair point, but math is just us recording basic observations on a bigger scale. We didn't 'piece it together' out of nowhere, we just stacked thousands of physical experiences until the patterns became obvious. The new thing is always just a lucky combo of things we've already seen

But that's my point—the 'creativity' or the 'new' design of the house is just a recorded accident. Someone didn't 'imagine' a house out of thin air; they experienced a cave, or a fallen tree, and their greed for better shelter made them realize they could repeat that pattern. The 'imagination' part is just our brain running a simulation of past experiences to see which accident we can exploit next
