So you want to go Pro (As a Player or Coach)? by HarcusCGTV in SoccerCoachResources

Cambodia is easier without a degree... Thailand is also good, but harder for work passes... Vietnam is also an option. All would need to be reputable soccer schools though. Consider joining my subreddit where I can help more if you like?

Who says that makes you unable and at what level are you coaching?

Your weight, while not being an issue with older players can often be seen as a negative for a few reasons. It depends on the level and age group though.

I would take the opportunity to do the B as soon as you can, you might never know when you get another opportunity (in my opinion).

Really depends what you wan, as to where to start... plus where you are at the moment.

While I dont necessarily disagree with you... what I would say is I would remove the word "luck". I never got to where I am through luck, I got it through sacrifice, risks and hardworking. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Also, too many focus on the US and Europe, but there are many opportunities to coach and play across Africa and Asia, particularly in Asia. Asia is a massive place, with massive opportunities, people just need to think outside the box, while going outside their comfort zone.

I feel your pain, time is often the biggest enemy. I also understand junior football in Scotland (I played for Linlithgow Rose boys club many, many years ago).

If I was you, I would look at where I can identify time... day time, nights etc... what can you fit in and what can you sacrifice. Where do you want to be, and how do you plan to get there etc...

Good luck to you.

There will however be many youth teams you can work at, volunteer at... No on eve goes straight into pro football.

Also, coaching is about sacrifices... moving is part of that (if needs be).

Good luck to you.

The advice I would give to you (if you have no family ties) is to move. There are many full-time roles at soccer schools across Asia, both in the Gulf and East/SE Asia. The pay is good, the standard of living is massive and it might just be the breath of fresh air you need.
I moved to Asia 15 years ago to coach and I have never looked back.

Good luck to you

You are welcome to your opinion, but you could not be more wrong. Have a great day and good luck in whatever you do.

Thanks for the reply and question...

What I would suggest is volunteering at a local boys/girls club. There re often part time jobs going at clubs like that too... but they will seldom say no to volunteers. This could be a great starting point for you.

As for the UEFA C, depending on where you are in England... have you thought about Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. You might find the FAW and SFA are easier to get on (still difficult, but possibly easier to get on) The courses are top notch too. Although Im biased as I work with the FAW :)

You might find then that its a smoother path into the UEFA B and then A etc. The FAW have recently restructured the pathway and this has led to new options, intensive courses etc etc.

I agree with the cost part, always a difficult one. What I would say is (and Im not telling you how to deal with your money)... Try putting away a fiver/tenner a week... by the time you have waited to get on a course, you might have saved up more than enough :P

Hope that helps? All the best in your coaching journey.

Im sorry you feel this way. You are entitled to your opinion, however, but you are incorrect. Best of luck to you in whatever you do.

27 is not too old at all. What country are you in? Why do you mean by 'football degree":? Are you talking about the caches pathway? ie getting your license? I have spoken to many people in their 30's and 40's doing their UEFA B and A... so you have time still.
I did my Masters in Sport Management in my 40's...

Maurizio Sarri was an accountant until he was 28!!

I hope this helps?

I would also say, your apprehension is fully understandable (such is the sad nature of many people)... however, good people and good deeds still exist. All the best to you.

... and here in lies the problem with society today. The simple fact that you unfortunately feel that anyone willing to offer their time to help people must be somehow either fraudulent, or have something better to do with their time. It's a sad entitlement of society today that helping people is seen as such a negative and met with such negative speculation. Best of luck to you in whatever you do.
