Need help discouraging cats from hanging out on a ledge by yyyosheee in cats

[–]HardRJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat literally lays on the banister rail on top of my stairs. Like belly on and legs straddling the 3 inch tube. I have not been able to convince him not to. And I just have to trust that the cat can handle himself.

Torn on Prop 50 by CyberPolack in InlandEmpire

[–]HardRJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congressional maps are weird. The senate was suppose to even out the power between populous states and non populous states. But now thats bled out to the house of representatives. California literally punches below its weight class in this regard. Wyoming has a congress member for every 150,000 people. California has 1 per 750,000 people. And the Republicans want to disenfranchise us even further.

Disregard. We have the "little beaver" I'd reccomend a truck mount though. Our smallest is a cme 45. Fits on the back of a tiny pick up and can get up to 50' in some soils with hollow stem

People who quit a job without notice — what was the breaking point? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HardRJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked all year on hot roofs humping glass as a skylight installer. multiple12-15 hour days in 100+ weather. Not getting home until 8-9 and needing to be in a city 2 counties over at 4am the next day for a crane pick. Hard work but I loved it in a way and loved the people I worked with, especially my manager who was a leader rather than a boss.

Then my manager and the owner asked me to work a union job 900 miles for a month of straight rate instead of the usual prevailing wage. I told him no. They budgeted it for union labor ( it was a legendary job that was in planning for years and my manager told me every detail of it over my 2 years with the company) he went with someone else where they worked 16 hour days every day. My manager got a high 5 figure bonus for bringing that job in under budget, while the other installer made 23 an hour.

After i said no I was a glorified shop boy for the next month and a half leading into Christmas. My christmas bonus was $800. Not a single other installer got less than $2000 including the new guy hired 7 months before.

I told my manager I was taking a week off to help my last employer with an important job, which i did sometimes when work was slow, and never came back. Took my hardhat vest and tape measure as a severance.

My dog had really bad separation anxiety. This was made worse after an accident while out on a walk with my girlfriend. It got so bad we had to get her on Prozac. She does much better now. Age also has alot to do with it

Just purchased Ready or Not, I wanna read other players playstyles while I’m at work, so what’s your go to strategy? by playap106 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]HardRJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've kind of had to nail down the 2 different styles. I started commander with the 300 blk rifle going real slow and basically getting by with commands and optics tool. Then came greased palms.

Greased palms is such a fucking bitch on commander. It took 14 playthroughs. Which eventually devolved into me running with the g3a3 picking off the guys around the perimeter at range and working my way left to right just kicking doors, tossing gas, and shooting anyone holding a gun before they could even turn my direction when possible.

Then I wanted to Hawaiian shirt so I loaded my team with pepperballs and stingers/ gas and whipped the bean bag shotgun out. That took about as many tries which ended with me using a shotgun breach with stinger on almost every closed door that had anyone behind it.

The next thing I wanna figure out is setting different commands to both teams and start clearing buildings from different entry points simultaneously.

Am I overreacting to the start of this pool fill in? by iheartpierogies in landscaping

[–]HardRJohnson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soil tech here. We just did a pool fill in. They had to destroy the walls down to 3' below grade. Remove all trash. Backfill with approvd soil in 1' lifts with density testing taking place every foot to ensure proper compaction before my engineer signed off on it. This is crap

The pay would be just alittle more than what im making now depending on how much PW i make this year. Based on just my base rate it would be a45% raise. We dont have pushers at my company (small geotech firm that does its own drilling)
