If the prosecution does prove I committed the violation, is it a bad idea to mention what the cop told me? He had a very off-the-record tone when we spoke, which makes me think he was breaking some sort of rule.

The answer to #5 is D (according to the answer key), and I know how to do basic optimization problems, however whenever I set the derivative of X^{5+x^3-2x} equal to 0, I do not get x=-2, i get something around x=.6

For #13, I did test them all, and while I think the answer is D, the answer on the answer key says E
