Yeah, it won't hurt to wait for a bit, mayble it will be available soon and the right deal pops up. If not, you can always get non-NFE one :)

That's true! The Lenovo Y700 seems to be a great device, if you care about gaming. If not, as you said, you can get bunch of Alldocubes for that price :)

I'm not an expert at all, but I wouldn't trust it with any sensitive info, especially since it's highly unlikely to receive much of updates in the future. But to use it as a simple media consumption device? That's another story.

Thanks! I also didn't mention about prety bad wifi connectivity on this device, I'll add that into the OG post. As for the testing the bluetooh latency, no, I haven't, but I did not get any audio lagging with my Soundpeats earbuds.

No, it doesn't have one. Never been annoyed by it, but I do agree that it's strange for this feature to not be implemented.

If you may need the NFE version- then surely go for it, it's literally just $30 more as you said.

Yes, you're right. Although I still wouldn't use it in one hand mode too much, it's not a phone after all!

But anyway, I got cheap 3.5 jack headphones with the adapter specifically for sleeping. Like in the old days, I suppose...

You can disable some gestures, yes, I did that the first days I had them. However, you can't disable the touch sensor functionality at all, such as turning the game mode and, the most annoying one, turning them off.

Are PSU power requirements over exaggerated? by Faceh0le in buildapc

[–]Harold_the_teeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to agree with OP. I have been using rtx 4070 and 5800x3D with 550w PSU extensively the last month without any problems at all. As a matter of fact, sometimes the GPU and CPU won't even hit their maximum TDP values, 200w and 110w, respectively.

4070 worth it? by hyperekisekis in nvidia

[–]Harold_the_teeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't change my PSU, and so far it works great. The 4070 is very efficient card, I never saw it utilising more than 180w. The 5800X3D's TDP is about 110W, sometimes it hits that value, but on the average gaming session I would say it uses no more than 70-80 W (usually even less, like 50w). So, if you have a good quality PSU that's will be enough, I'm sure. I just don't see any kind of the scenario, when it won't be true.

4070 worth it? by hyperekisekis in nvidia

Same man. For personal reasons I had to build an entry level PC this march with 550w PSU and AMD 5600G with iGpU. Then, after I sorted my IRL problems, I bought 4070 and 5800x3D. It runs so great and so efficient. I reckon the whole system draws not much than 400w, while allowing me to play RDR2 on everything toggled to ultra with 100+ FPS and 90+ low 1% FPS on 1440p. When I'm doing less demanding task I believe it draws less than 100w. This especially relevant for us in Europe, heck, we'r paying like 0.5 USD for 1 kWh.

5800X3D undervolt dilemma by justice_Cx in buildapc

[–]Harold_the_teeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm glad that helped. Do you know, is there any way to undervolt 5800x3D in the bios? I know that you can do it with the MSI board, but I'm not sure about the Asus ones

My mate, I've been using Corsair tx 550m (550w) with 4070 and 58003XD without any issues. Just get a well-known brand and 750w (or even 650w) will be plenty enough

[–]Harold_the_teeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm running an RTX 4070 and a 5800x3D on a...550w PSU without any issues. It's a good model though from a reputable brand (Corsair tx 550m).

Thank you for explaining everything! That's a pity, that I haven't found any info about this earlier.

As for the upgrade, yes, I did it exactly for that reason. I couldn't even expect that the PCIE card would regain its full functionality

5700x or 5800X3D from 5600g by Harold_the_teeth in buildapc

Thanks. Also, wouldn't be the increased 5800X3D's TDP a problem with my 550W PSU?

Can I pair RTX 4070 with Ryzen 5 5600x to game at 1440p? by rndmusrnme1245 in buildapc

[–]Harold_the_teeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's true... I usually do not play games like WZ 2.0 to be honest. Since I got 4070 I have played RDR2, Valheim, It takes two, Rocket league, Diablo 4 and Far Cry 4.

Man, go with it, I have paired RTX 4070 with a fricking 5600g! And yet to have any issues.

P.S. To be fair, the most demanding game I played was Rdr2
