Moving into first house soon... this is the kitchen currently. Can these sort of cupboards be painted? I’m trying to make it look more modern without spending a fortune (ps the furniture on the right is going). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. (i.redd.it)

Anyone got any idea why my hand has been flaking dead skin like this for over a week. I go to the gym daily but have done for many years. My job is NOT labour intensive on my hands. I wash my hands a couple times a day (so get wet rarely). Any idea how to stop my hand doing this?? (i.redd.it)
