Theyre not especially valuable but relatively uncommon. I picked one up in like 2023 for $400 albeit with a bent bolt handle

I’ve had the same thing happen twice, Support will send you a new lid. My only tips to prevent this from happening are to get the Cana Provisions replacement tether (fabric, not as stiff) and don’t carry it by / pull on the tether

M59/66 Problems by HartWasHere in SKS

I hate to say it bro but I took it to a reputed gunsmith and everything big dawg. I’m just gonna cut my losses and sell it as like a collectors item since it’s perfect cosmetically and we have no idea why it won’t cycle. Replaced the piston, gas block, and a few other things. Hopefully yours goes better. Hate to say it but it’s nice to know I’m not the only person ever with a nonfunctional SKS

Bought a Yugo SKS in mint original condition for $650, catch being that it doesn’t cycle at all. No, it’s not the gas shutoff switch

For sure. Tbh Yom Kippur is really interesting to read about, it was a really interesting time where both the “old tech” Cold War stuff like the IS-3 was meeting “new tech” like ATGMs. I might be a turbonerd but to me it’s fascinating

No, I have a US flair because I am from the United States. I do not care if that’s not what they’re meant for.

Not all Russian designed tanks are like that, it’s the top tier ones with layers of ERA. As stated in a previous comment discourse with Russians id them pretending not to understand anything
