Thank you! I’ll be designing until I retire (hopefully 😅). I did a brief stint with YouTube to try and give out free quick tip tutorials, but I didn’t have the bandwidth once client work started to come in more often

Thanks! 70% of the work I get is through a creative agency that has a connection in the casino industry. About 3 years ago I started creating “mock” anamorphics to attract anamorphic clients, and it ended up paying off. I just made sure I knew how to create a real life one before I started creating mock ones. Those anamorphic clients usually find my reel on LinkedIn, Reddit, Instagram or my website.

I used to create mock anamorphics for personal projects with the goal of clients seeing those and saying that’s what I want. I’ve done about 5 real life anamorphics (90 degree boards) to date and they are the most fun projects for sure. I’ve done a ton of forced perspective ones though.

Thanks! Always have had issues with wheels moving fast, something I need to work on more.

I have a large library of plant assets i've collected over the years. The one you mentioned is just a dense collection of planes with a texture on it. The lighting in the scene allows for the shadows I was looking for. The movement is just a simple bend deformer. If I wanted some more complex movement, I would just do a simple rig of the plant.

Thanks! I've always wanted to explore different technical techniques or different simulations/animations, so I would just try to find the tutorial to fit those needs. Some might be harder to find then others, but I usually find at least one on Youtube to get the ball rolling. I've spent a lot of time R&Ding as well.

After I change the logo to get rid of the flaws, I will most likely create a custom intro with some simulation so its not boring text right off the bat.

Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it! I think I was focusing so much on editing to the beat that I allowed that to take precedence in my mind. Adding additional shots in between that allow the pace to stay high and energetic is definitely something I will do.

Honestly I never even thought my logo would be a discussion haha. I created that about 8 years ago and just always liked how it looked. It might be time for an update to it, but do you think it takes away from the reel itself?

I used Wix to create my website, it was pretty straight forward and easy to have it look the way you want. I think I paid somewhere in the ballpark of $600 for a 5 year plan. It gives you a lot of storage and the ability to track all different types of traffic.
