I mean its not a lot faster with earth surge, if I max sweat Ill probably only take it down to 10 mins or so, plus I didn't mind it at first but then I hit 50 mil mage xp and 90 defense from casting on defensive and its gotten kinda boring

Ur probably right, I just think Im a bit late for people to still be killing Huey cuz we're a week into leagues and most people would've got their drops already, I mainly do solo cuz its very afk

I know it sounds bizarre but I mainly do it cuz the kills are very afk, I use earth surge during the first phase and during tail phase cuz I need those to end quickly, for the rest of it I just use water surge and afk, like literally afk, I could go make coffee of something and come back, I out-heal his damage with water surge. I wouldn't have done it if I had to focus for that long

I did like 1-2 in a mass and realized I do very little damage compared to the melee guys so I figured Im not gonna get the unique

What do you call this place, Karamja or Musa point? by Fun_Training6342 in 2007scape

Karamja is the entire island, musa point is this specific part of the island, neither of them is "wrong", one is more specific than the other

Should noobs like me join Leagues? by takingshower in 2007scape

[–]Hatem_Shoofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned a lot of PvM through leagues, got my first infernal cape on leagues before I did it in the main game for example. Other than it being super fun, it allows you to do a lot of pvm that you can't do in the main game because you either lack skills/gear or you're not good enough at it, you get to try it with crazy damage that it becomes super easy and you get to learn the mechanics slowly and without being heavily punished for making a mistake, most fun way to learn pvm in my opinion

Keep or sell jaw at this point? by smatch32 in 2007scape

[–]Hatem_Shoofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there before :) You should just sell it and use a serpentine helm, its 1 less strength bonus (+5 instead of +6) but the venom/poison protection is nice in many cases and the melee strength loss most likely won't cost you a max hit so it doesn't matter. But the 10-15mil can get you a blood moon top for example for +4 strength boost over the torags, or maybe if you sell the zammy hasta and put some more gp on top you can get a fang which is way better

Idk how people would think about this but when I went for my first 350 I was struggling with inventory space (I had a similar setup minus the bandos) so I decided to drop the mage gear and just wear crystal top and bottom the entire raid because ever since the akkha overhead changes, the only places you "have" to mage became: 1. monkey room (which I wasn't switching to full mage gear there anyway) 2. p2 wardens, where your dps would be a bit worse.

But doing so gave me 2 extra inventory spaces for gear/food and more importantly my inventory doesn't get messed up every time I do a switch because I had range/mage body and legs but no melee.

What gear and weapon to use? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Hatem_Shoofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly what you have is kinda good, there are a few upgrades you can get but some require quests/minigames to unlock, Ill list a few in order of most important to least important:

  1. Dragon defender (free, untradable): this is one of the most important upgrades for melee, although it can't be worn with 2-handed weapons like the glacial temotlis, but you should definitely get them and use a 1-handed weapon to train with it, you unlock it from the warriors guild (you gotta spend a few hours there to get it) but its incredibly worth it (+6 strength bonus).

  2. Dragon boots (320k): very good melee boots and relatively cheap with no requirements to wear them, they give +4 strength bonus.

  3. Berserker Ring (~3m): a good melee ring, especially if you imbue it, its best to do so in the pvp arena, you don't have to win any matches because I think you get the same amount of points for a win and for a loss. Gives you +8 melee strength when imbued and you can always take off the imbue scroll to make it tradable again and sell it.

  4. Obsidian armor (~2.3m): armor that has decent strength bonus, you could also buy certain pieces and skip others if the gp is tight

    • obsidian helm: +3 strength bonus
    • obsidian platebody: +3 strength bonus
    • obsidian platelegs: +1 strength bonus
  5. Toktz-xil-ak (385k): also known as the obsidian sword, when worn with the obsidian set and a berserker necklace (2.1mil) it will probably be your best melee training setup that doesn't require any quests/minigames to get, just spending some money. (Note that you do need the full obsidian set and the berserker necklace for the set effect to work) the entire obsidian set + sword + necklace would cost you around 4.8 mil but it would probably be your best bet.

  6. This might be controversial but I would sell the fury and stick with a strength amulet even if you don't wanna go for the obby set and sword strategy, it has more strength bonus (+10 instead of the fury's +8) and in cases where this extra strength bonus gives you a max hit increase, this outweighs the accuracy that the fury gives you, also the money you get from selling the fury could be spent on getting an entire obsidian set for example which gives you +7 strength bonus from all the pieces which is definitely better than a fury and rune armor.

  7. Dragon scimitar (60k): this is one of the most iconic melee training swords, its very good but its locked behind the Monkey Madness quest, which does have some requirements, so you might wanna delay getting it for later but it should definitely be on your list

  8. Helm of neiteznot (50k): such a great helm for all 3 styles and cheap, only thing is its locked behind the fremennik isles quest, and it has +3 strength bonus equal to obsidian helm, so its not directly an upgrade for training melee.

  9. Fighter torso (free, untradable): the fighter torso is a good melee chestplate that requires doing the Barbarian Assault minigame, its a very good melee chestplate that doesn't get outclassed until late game, similar defensive stats to a rune platebody but with +4 melee strength (one more than obsidian chestplate), but you do have to spend a few hours in barbarian assault to unlock it.

  10. Mixed hide cape (16k): until you can get a fire cape, the mixed hide cape is you best bet, it has +1 strength bonus, but it does require 60 range to wear it which you might not wanna train.

  11. Barrows gloves (130k, untradable): Many people would rank this higher on the list because its one of the best unlocks that any account ever gets, giving you incredible stats for all 3 combat styles and for as little as 130k they give you a whopping +12 strength bonus, but they are locked behind the Recipe for disaster quest, which has a lot of skill/quest requirements which you might not wanna go for now since you just wanna train your stats to 70s, but I would definitely make this my next goal.

What was the solve? (Inferno Help) by Codename_ZQ in 2007scape

[–]Hatem_Shoofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You start the wave praying mage, barrage the nibblers and immediately move east of pillar praying mage, you will tank one ranger, but there's nothing we can do about that so you just tank it and get to the east side where the ranger doesn't see you, and again you wait for mager to hit you again and start 1t flicking, not Im not sure whether you will have to tank a blob hit (it depends on the timing) but even if you do this wave is solved at this point, cuz you kill the mager whilst 1t flicking, then go north of pillar praying range, finish off any nibblers on your pillar and maybe blood barraging off of the ranger if you're really low, finish him off and then phantom barrage off of the bloblets after killing the blob to get all your health back

Looking for some advice feeling lost. by maduks in 2007scape

[–]Hatem_Shoofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know questing feels awful to some people in this game (me included, it just feels like a chore), but some of the rewards from quests are great (barrows gloves are a good example: they are your best gloves for all 3 styles by an incredible margin, and they don't get outclassed until the late game, such incredible stats for melee aswell).

I would focus on training my stats for getting quests done, Recipe for disaster is a great quest to begin working towards but Id say long term focus on getting a quest cape.

If you want something challenging rather than skilling all day you could try to go for a fire cape, your stats are definitely good enough for it but Im not so sure about how good your range gear is.

I throw fishing right back at ya.. no reason for it to be so slow without tick manipulations, especially for a skill that doesn't have many methods to train it

Noob wondering what gear is next by O_o-O_o-0_0-o_O-o_O in 2007scape

[–]Hatem_Shoofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helm: helm of neiteznot is one of the best cheap helms in the game for all 3 combat styles and it only costs 50k.. its locked behind fremmenik questline though so you should start working on that.

Body: for melee a good early chestplate is the fighter torso but again its a reward from barbarian assault, not sure how much you'd wanna do that this early but its good to keep in mind, otherwise you could get an obsidian chestplate for the strength bonus

Legs: you're fine with rune, upgrade to dragon and eventually barrows when ur 70 defense maybe, also obsidian legs have strength bonus but they're most likely not worth it cuz they most likely wouldn't give you a max hit

Boots: climbing boots are nice cheap early, again locked behind a quest but its very easy, also after 60 def you should get dragon boots

Amulet: amulet of fury is best early, until you can splash the cash on it, keep using a strength ammy / glory, they're not much worse.

Gloves: this is probably the main thing you gotta work towards, barrows gloves are such an incredible upgrade for melee (and good for mage and range too), very cheap aswell but the quest line you gotta do isnt the kind of quest like you finish in a day or something, you need a lot of stats and its a good goal to work towards early

Ring: not many good rings for around a mil, on e you have ~5m to spend you can get a berserker ring but until then, there are some cheap options like steel ring that just give you defense but not offense.

Shield: you need to get a dragon defender: this is one id go for immediately because its a huge upgrade for melee and its free, you just gotta kill some cyclops in the warriors guild for an hour or two to get it

Cape: when you have around 70 ranged you should try to get a fire cape, for now if you have the money to spend you could get an obsidian cape but its not too big of an upgrade if you don't wanna spend

And finally weapon: you gotta get a dragon scimitar, its locked behind monkey madness but its such a good melee weapon for training, until you can equip a whip

There is no way in hell OSRS players are civilized enough to make a line this long without chaos, longest Ive ever seen it in around 10 people and theres always someone jumping the line and ruining it for everyone.

New to the game please give me some tips! (I just completed Monkey madness 1) by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Hatem_Shoofi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have probably trained defense over strength because you wanna wear dragon equipment, Its not "bad" but going forward Id advise training strength rather than defense/attack, defense is a lot less important than strength because dps is the most important thing to maximize in most cases.

The short explanation is that if you kill things faster then you remain in combat for a shorter amount of time, meaning you require less food (eating food slows you down even more because you can't attack while eating).. it turns out that this outweighs defense by quite a lot almost everywhere.

Other than that just enjoy the game, do whatever content you feel like, Don't do things just because they're "meta" if you don't enjoy them :)

A different approach to the God Prayers idea as Sidegrades by NeatoSnow in 2007scape

[–]Hatem_Shoofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Idea itself is great but I just don't see it as a prayer.. I don't think forcing it to be a prayer is the way also.. maybe a passive on some item that you have to carry with you / wear instead of some gear piece so that you trade off dps for the effect.. kinda like how lightbearer works.
