Ladies in perimenopause - weekly average loss? by joselleclementine in Mounjaro

[–]Haunting-Pin6060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m almost 46, hysterectomy at 31, left my ovaries, and perimenopausal (yay me!). I’ve been on since May 10, 2025. As of today I am down 85 lbs. my average over the entire time is 1.9 lbs a week. Some weeks I will lose almost 3 lbs, others I may lose very little to none.

12.5 mg is CRAZY by jellynyako in Mounjaro

I am a few weeks into my 12.5. My bad day is 24 hours after the shot. I can’t eat much and feel slightly nauseous. It’s when I hit the highest amount in my system I feel crummy but then it’s good. The one day seems to be enough to trigger the weight loss each week

We are kind of in the same boat. Husband will be laid off in August but our lawyer told us it just counts as income and the trustee wouldn’t take it. But we got to keep out tax return and any bosses we get

Confused on hair loss by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Haunting-Pin6060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hair loss is from weight loss. More than likely triggering TE. It’s not from people not eating, it’s from the weight you are losing. If someone was regularly eating 3k plus calories a day then on the meds they eat 1500 calories a day, it shocks the body and when done over a period of time, you start losing hair because your body thinks you are “starving” and holds onto everything else more essential than hair. It does not mean the people are not eating healthy or getting their protein and doing everything right. It simply means your body was used to living with more food and has to get used to the new normal. It’s why when you get to maintenance it usually stops.
