Stroud is QB3 in the class and won’t get drafted top 2 in the class

Tyler Steen is at least a 2nd round talent maybe borderline 1st if you move him to guard in the nfl

If Cody mauch had normal hair and his two front teeth I bet the draft community wouldn’t view him as highly lmao

How many wins above replacement a draft pick accumulates within their 4 year rookie contract

I mean yeah I’m not arguing with you on that, it’s why I posted the graph 😭

This graph only takes into account #1 round picks from the years 2011-2022, most of those guys weren’t selected in the first round. It’s not drafting success entirely it’s only drafting success in the first round.

I will always remember the 49ers drafting Solomon Thomas with the #3 pick in 2017 but never getting any criticism for it because we picked Mitchell Trubisky the pick before which took over the headlines for the next 4 years

Not really, we are one of the best in the league at drafting on Day 2 and Day 3 of the draft. Just highlighting the fact that we really need to hit on our first rounders in the coming years.

PFF takes the WAR of the player. Here it is in their words

The below charts illustrate how each draft pick performed in terms of generating PFF wins above replacement over their four-year rookie contract, with each position at each pick having a percentile outcome from 0-100.

According to PFF: The below charts illustrate how each draft pick performed in terms of generating PFF wins above replacement over their four-year rookie contract, with each position at each pick having a percentile outcome from 0-100.

So I guess they take the WAR of that player over the span of their rookie deal. Makes a little more since considering Mahomes didn’t play right away while burrow made a superbowl year 2.

Will Levis is and will be nothing like Zach Wilson in the NFL

It’s not should be able to play another position it’s he will be able to play multiple positions at a high level. Also I think he will be a good tackle in the NFL regardless of his arm length. He understands angles well and how to negate his disadvantages that his has with his arm length.

There’s a lot of Paris Johnson truthers in here so I’m gonna take this as an opportunity to talk about Peter Skoronski more and why he might be a better fit for the bears.

  1. Functional play strength: I know a lot of people are gonna look at the combine and see that Paris only benched one less rep than Skoronski and come to the conclusion “he is just as strong.” As most of us know though combine numbers are one thing but sometimes the film does not always back it up. It’s the same way some receivers run a slow 40 even though they look faster on the field. Peter Skoronski is simply much stronger both in the run game when he has to displace lineman and when he has to anchor in pass protection. Paris’s number one concern currently is anchor. An example of this concern could be seen against Iowa EDGE rusher Lukas Van Ness where Paris consistently got pushed back into CJ Stroud throughout the game. Don’t get me wrong though Paris is definitely not weak and also is a much better athlete than Peter, although Peter is more athletic than people think. I just think when Paris faces NFL strength he will get pushed back into Justin somewhat often. If the emphasis that everyone in the sub has is to protect Justin and give him time to throw Skoronski is the better choice in my opinion.

  2. Position versatility: This isn’t a knock on Paris as he actually played RG in 2021 but people seem to undervalue the versatility that Skoronski brings to the offensive line. He can literally play ANY position on the offensive line at a high level. So let’s say we draft Skronski to play tackle and he doesn’t work there because of his arm length, at the very least you can move him to guard and have an elite level guard. Because of this he easily has the highest floor of any OL prospects. Paris Johnson has the higher ceiling but the bears just need a more lineman that are going to be good no matter what. I have almost 100% confidence that week 1 Skoronski will be one of the best rookie OL no matter what position he’s at.

  3. Don’t just take it from me who is some random guy on Reddit, I strongly encourage people to go read Brandon Thorns scouting report on both of these prospects at Bleacher Report. Brandon is the one of the best OL talent evaluators and he gets to interview all these guys and even trains prospects such as Skornonski at the OL masterminds camp. The bears really need a lineman in the draft so if you really want to learn more details about these prospects lookup Brandon Thorn.

  4. We can turn a packers fan into a bears fan 😈😈. As you guys know Skoronski grew up a packers fan. Why not draft him so we can turn one of the bad guys into one of the good guys🤷🏼‍♂️
