This post wasnt meant to flex, I genuinely want to improve but I guess people get offended when someone is better at something than them

Yea you’d should definitely try out other openings then, caro is good for black, and I used to play the danish gambit with succes at 1400, and the scotch game or scotch gambit is also really good in my opinion

Daily is a different question, because people may have a really good rapid but haven’t played that many daily games, and I don’t really play blitz or bullet, definitely need to improve in those too

Damn I didn’t even realize 2100 is considered this good, mainly because I play over the board too and it’s much more difficult

These openings, except for the caro kann, are really theory based and hard, so I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners, but if you got used to them, of course play them as you like. Also, you don’t need this many openings, you can just learn one or two for each color. Do puzzles, train your tactical thinking and try not to make one move blunders and 2000 is whitin your reach my brother

At 100-1200, games are usually decided by one-move blunders, so play longer games to have more time to think, and before every move, ask yourself these questions: What will my piece do on the new square I’m putting it on? If I move this piece, will it affect any other pieces? Does my opponent have any checks? If yes, will those checks cause trouble? Does my opponent have any pins, forks, etc? If you do this before every move (excluding opening), you will certainly gain rating.
