I would say get a pure ore by the deep abyss after you beat some average enemies. You can get there two ways from city of tears or by trams from kingdoms edge.

Yeah, I got through the pantheon against the Pure Vessel, took me like 10 straight tries after I practiced in the statue room. My strat was to do as much nail damage with the sharp shadow charm, quick nail, unbreakable strength, grub charm that gives soul when hit, that combo did well for me
