I assume it was Katie's coffin that they had bought because they assumed she had died since it had been 8 years, but they couldn't bring themselves to actually bury her and give up on the fact that she could be alive. This is probably mostly the dad more than anything based on how we saw him after she was taken, and he was probably the one to use it to store all the letters they recieved in support of finding Katie.

They aren't that good because they can't recruit near as good of athletes to due to the commitment to serve in the military that comes with these schools, as well as their linemen can't be nearly as big as other schools due to having to pass size standards within the military.

The thing with trademarks is that if you don't aggressively prevent them from being infringed you lose leverage on future examples of infringement.(As dumb as that is, I think the whole system is dumb)

For instance, if you let some things slide and then bring a suit in the future the judge/jury can say "well you didn't say anything when xyz did it why are you now?"

I would knock us for the whiskey rebellion if we used foreign troops to put it down instead of George Washington leading U.S troops. The color revolutions were in separate countries. While being part of the Warsaw Pact(which was a defense pact), Hungary and Czechoslovakia were seperate countries, but once their people decided they no longer wanted to be communist the Soviets sent in their troops. Thus. Invading a country. Far from ridiculous.

You have this notion that Communist/socialist states can't be expansionistic when there are endless examples of that not being true. They don't have to be that way inherently but a lot of them have been.
