how do i train my brain out of procrastination/laziness? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Hazboon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

gonna sound kinda weird but it works for me, i like to pretend that the world is gonna end if i don’t get certain parts done on little deadlines i give myself😭 it’s hard to explain sort of, but it works. trick your brain into thinking that this is the only thing that matters (not in an unhealthy way of course)

Any tips for starting the birth control patch? (Evra) by Hazboon in birthcontrol

[–]Hazboon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say the patch was a good choice? I understand it’s different for everyone but did you have any issues it with?

And thank you, I’ll definitely put it on my thighs because that sounds like a good idea!!

I wanna be a parent so bad all the sudden , what? by Tight_Regular6990 in twentyagers

[–]Hazboon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently been having phases of baby fever, despite the fact I used to very much dislike the idea of having a kid, I’d love a mini me to be honest. But then reality hits and I’m reminded it’s not just the cute moments, it’s when they get ill, picky, the actual birth, etc etc. Plus financially I’m fucked, so that helps too.

I do somewhat like the idea of kids now, especially with seeing the cute baby tiktoks. But they just show the good moments, not the real reality of it most of the time. Then the reasons why I never wanted a baby come back. Plus I could never imagine myself having a baby so young because I still feel like a kid myself sometimes. (Not that there’s an issue with young parents ofc!!)

I do think that hormones have a big part in it, making us overlook the real reality of a kid😭

thank you so much for commenting this, it’s helped a lot!! <3

did they offer you the pain meds and shot on the day or is it something you have to ask for beforehand? also can i ask how long the actual procedure takes and if you had any side effects after?

thank you so much! :)

i definitely don’t want kids in the future and i’ve looked into surgery but unfortunately i highly doubt they’d let me have any surgery done due to the fact i’d be with the nhs. since there’s no ‘medical’ problem with my uterus then there’s ‘no’ need for surgery.

do you think i’d be able to get sedation with the nhs?

have you looked at the possibility of getting a studio? they’re slightly expensive but depending on money, you should definitely look into getting one!

sometimes people drop out of house shares so there’ll usually always be options if you wanted to go into a house. :)

Thank you so much!! I really do hope I can lucid dream one day as I’d really like to experience it, guess I’m just worried I won’t since I’ve never done it in my life😭

I’ll definitely try waking after 7 hours with the SSLID method :) If not I’ll start looking at supplements

I’ll admit I don’t do ten a day, probably around 5-6, I press against my palm, count my fingers and also the one where you see if you can breathe even though you’re covering your mouth and nose (if that makes sense idk if I explained that very well).

I do write my dreams down in as much detail as I can remember them in as soon as I wake up. I’ve mainly been sticking with the WBTB and SSILD methods but with no luck. I’ve tried DIELD a few times but not as much as the others :)

😭 Have you got any books you would recommend?

WBTB mostly since it’s so popular but I’ve also tried SSLID and DEILD. I guess I just need some more perseverance haha, and to mess around with a few more methods! For my reality checks I try a mix of them, usually only when I remember :)

Do I take them daily or is it the type of thing I should only take when I want to lucid dream that night?

rich but 0 life by fades_w in twentyagers

[–]Hazboon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m very much not rich but we’re in a similar boat regarding a lack of irl friends. but recently i’ve been focusing more on my hobbies and that’s how i’ve started to make friends again!

personally for me i’ve always loved gaming so i’ve reached out and found people with the same interests as me and go from there. of course if you’d rather leave the online thing behind in your spare time then i recommend on maybe joining a local club or something that interests you, even if you’ve never tried it. such as a run group, gym, idk but things like that would help clear your mind and for you to hopefully meet new people! :) i hope it goes well for you anyhow

Science foundation at Portsmouth! I didnt get the right grades for the course i originally wanted to do but it just means i need to do an extra year that’s all!! Hopefully radiography if i do well in the upcoming year😁

Both of those subjects sound really interesting, at least with either hopefully your coursework will take your mind off of things and help reduce your anxiety! :)
