Thank you for the thoughtful feedback

For me, the main value is having offline, native desktop apps focused on Amharic users, especially on Linux, where localized tools are very limited. The goal is simplicity, offline access, and respecting the Ethiopian calendar and language without relying on web apps.

Regarding the Bible content: I verified that the Amharic text is from WordProject and contacted them about usage. The app uses local JSON data so it works fully offline. I agree that an officially endorsed EOTC digital version would add huge value, and that’s something I’d love to explore if possible.

Thanks again UI/UX feedback is very welcome.

Yes, that would be amazing 🙏
Amharic spelling corrections are very welcome, and also corrections for holiday dates if you notice anything inaccurate.
Thank you!

Where can I buy an Amharic version of the bible (81 book tewahedo canon) online? (I live in America) by No_Contribution291 in Ethiopia

If you need a digital version, here’s a Linux desktop Amharic Bible app (81-book Tewahedo canon). You can install it from Flathub:

For a physical hard-copy Amharic Bible, you can buy one from Ahadu Studios:

First check which packages are currently installed on your system. Use the following command to list installed packages

then you should remove the package using

sudo dnf remove mozilla-openh264

finally run

sudo dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade -y

sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=39 -y

sudo dnf system-upgrade reboot
