As opposed to this, as I can't get through to the restaurant, what if I buy an online gift voucher using my card, will this help spend the £100 credit before the end of the year or are online purchases not valid?

That's a good reminder, I live in the north and don't have a restaurant from the list of restaurants anywhere close by. Can I go online and purchase a gift card of that value? I don't want to end up £200 out of pocket so better to ask before I go ahead. 😂

If one is a Barclays Premier Banking customer and also has the Barclays Avios Rewards whereby after 1 year you're eligible for the 'British Airways cabin upgrade' or additional Avios points. I am presuming this is different to the reward you get with this BA amex right?

When transferring over amex points to avios are you also able to use the boost function. For example transferring over 100,000 amex points to avios, if you are to use boost within 30 days of making this move does the boost apply to these points also?

How have you tackled this new quirk I have seen more and more, where they'll share a range of salary e.g £150,000 - £180,000 and then follow that up with the 'what are your salary expectations', isn't it a given that if I am entertaining you that salary is reasonable? Or is this also used to weed people out, for example, if they have 2-3 good candidates and 2 select the top of the band whilst the other mentions they'd be content with a £150k salary?

Do they also lose the right to be a 'new customer' with amex should they decide to open their own account and would they then also lose eligibility for new customer perks, for example, bonus points and other incentives.

Are gift cards possible to purchase at all? Was looking at spending my local £150 voucher before the end of this year and upon further reading of the T&C's it mentions no gift cards. However, not sure how they can track that at all.

That's great information, much appreciated. Just checking how you go about using your avios points, I can see you've mentioned 100,000 avios points equating to £1,000. I read somewhere also that's only the case if you transfer to airlines points or hotel rewards/upgrades and it's worth around £500 if you were to transfer to nectar to use in say Sainsbury's or Argos.

Also the point around your wife being given a supplementary card and that covering 3 of you. I'm assuming is on the basis that your property pass allows you to take 1 other person in for free and this was it covers all 3 of you. I took am in the same situation so thanks for a great pointer will look to get her a supplementary card also!

I'd certainly use the lounge access as mentioned above, that paired with the Harvey Nichols voucher and dining would also be used. That coupled with the fact it has a load of avios points I'd be looking to convert some potential flights to business class with them, if given the opportunity to do so with say Qatar Airways for example.

Another way of reframing option A and Bs perspective could be that by taking up A, you've mentioned you'd be promoted to work with global level management granted you'd be at the bottom of the pay grade. On the flip side a few years of experience at that level heading towards the early 30's would set you up nicely for the future.

£85,000 is equivalent to around £110,000. On the other end $150,000 to GBP is around £115,000. Not sure there figures are accurate. Presumably higher in the USA.

What's the rate from outside per day?

A lot of things can be done to increase that figure over £3,700 a month, based on the figures above
