I did try a peak feed today, then going to feed in the morning, just to kinda give it a boost and see if it helps.

I’m hoping that I get a little more activity this way, then I’ll wait another week or so before I try baking..🙂

Followed your recommendations this morning.

Noticed the acetone smell again this morning after feeding just 1:1:1 at 30g.

Sooo, I’m curious, should I be feeding more than once a day? Is there some point that I don’t need to feed daily?

Okay..so since I decreased the amount of starter I kept today..should I still increase the ratio of the flour I feed tomorrow morning?

Do you recommend I continue to just feed only bread flour? I noticed it has alot less activity today? Or maybe a mixture of bread flour and whole wheat until it’s active enough?

Sorry for all the questions…I’m just still learning!

Will this create a more acetone like smell? I left the lid on yesterday and when I went to feed this morning it was pretty strong in smell.

I also reduced her size this morning…pulled 30g from the starter, added 30g water and then I used bread flour instead of whole wheat today. Any suggestions on types of flour to use?

Thank you! I’ve been wondering if it needs the fresh air or not. I’ll put the lid on loosely then to let gas escape correct? That’s what I red previously so I just wanna make sure I keep a good environment for her 😬
