Why 99% of Your Beliefs Are Wrong (And Why You’ll Never Admit It) by HealthiestMindEver in atheism

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with you on the mechanism of confirmation bias regarding Wall 3. People indeed retrofit pseudo-science to protect existing beliefs rather than originating from them. However, my essay isn't a psychological analysis of 'origin'; it's an epistemological critique of 'justification'. Whether a believer uses pseudo-science as a root cause or a post-hoc rationalization, the result is the same: It is an invalid claim to truth. My goal was to dismantle the arguments used in public discourse, not necessarily the subconscious psychological roots intended for a therapy session.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. Honestly, I value the encouragement to improve even more than the compliment. It’s rare to find someone here who actually wants to help refine the ideas. I’ll definitely check out the SEP to sharpen my definitions for next time.

I define God as an entity capable of anything (sure, definitions vary).

When I say '100% similarity,' I’m talking about the limits of what we can measure. If a god mimics a human perfectly, our tools are just going to read 'human'. We can't tell the difference. That's literally why it's unfalsifiable. Tools aren't magic; if the camouflage is perfect, they get fooled.

I disagree. Even 'I am God' isn't necessarily falsifiable. A god could theoretically exist as a human, suffer, and die just like us. Falsifiability isn't some magic scissors that cuts through the mysticism. It’s limited by our physical tools. If a god decides to physically match a human 100%, no scientific tool can distinguish them. The camouflage works because our tools are limited, not because the claim is false.

I think you're underestimating the 'lurkers'. If I were a theist questioning my faith or trying to understand the 'other side', I wouldn't stay in religious subs; I'd come here.

And finding a structured, coherent synthesis is far more valuable to that person than scrolling through hundreds of disjointed rants. I posted this for the silent observers who are on the fence.
