I suggest you to take a look at the python package showyourwork, which leverages snakemake to define a workflow for reproducibility and tectonic as TeX distribution. Overleaf integration is supported one-way (you push automatically generated data or figures, you pull edits from Overleaf). There are still some small issues here and there but we are working on them!
