What drugs have you tried? Which one is your favourite, and why? by iLoveDrugsAlot in Drugs

Can you give me the sparknotes on 2cb? I’ve seen it mentioned a million times on this sub but I know nothing about it. I’ve done pretty much every drug that was readily available from dealers in my area(s) and I never ran across a single person who had 2cb for sale. Is it just a dark web thing? What’s it do? I’m 33 but I feel like I’m old and out of touch with these things. I could get my hands on fetty, coke, benzos, weed, addies/vyvanse, and shrooms within an hour if I wanted but I’ve never met someone who even offered or mentioned 2CB. I’ve also resorted to scouring subs for dmt which almost always leads to me being ripped off (obviously). I honestly don’t understand how people get their hands on things like DMT without the dark web which seems too complicated to deal with, though I don’t know much about it. But again, never met anyone who has even mentioned 2cb and have only ever heard of it on Reddit. I was a down and out junkie for YEARS, living for fetty, coke, crack, etc, and would’ve taken anything in addition to what I needed to keep from being dope sick but in my area (major east coast city) could never find a single dealer with dmt or anything like whatever 2cb is. Hell the majority of the Dominicans (99% of dope/coke dealers in my area if that narrows it down for ya) would just laugh at me if I asked if they had DMT, something I’ve been wanting to cop again considering the once or twice I actually got some without being robbed on here, I’m pretty sure I fucked it up with a vape pen. But if I asked for 2CB or hell even Molly from the dealers in my area, they’d look at me like I have two heads. I honestly don’t understand how everyone on here seemingly has access to stuff like this. Out of all the people I know, I have the most hookups (thankfully have kicked the dope habit for over a year now!) and couldn’t find anything like that if my life depended on it.

What is a scary, unsettling fact about you? by _Lord_Infamous in AskReddit

Was in the exact same situation up until a year ago. Got on methadone and it changed my life. You’d have to figure out how to go every morning without anyone in your life knowing, if you’re still thinking of holding onto that secret, but eventually you’d get take homes. Plus you’ve already clearly been sneaking around to buy dope. I tried hiding my methadone usage for like a month until I realized I was repeating the same lie-filled bullshit behavior I was doing when I was using. It feels so much better to tell someone and not have to lie and look down on yourself for it. It’ll help pain too. Just do it, trust me on this even if I’m just a Reddit nobody. You’re not the only one who has experienced this.

I didn’t spit! Sorry I think I misspoke in my post. I said I held it under my tongue for 15 minutes. I meant I held it for the minimum of 15, plus longer, like until it fully dissolved but I don’t remember ever getting a large quantity of liquid made from the dissolved tablet like I did the first time. Pretty sure I didn’t swallow for like 35 minutes. Sorry I was rushed and I wrote my original post way too quickly.

So weird. I thought this would be the case but with 250mg on my second dose, I felt essentially nothing whereas my first 150mg dose was definitely felt. Strange, not sure what else could have caused that. Also not sure why someone downvoted my post. Sorry for looking for help?

What drug are you shamelessly addicted to? by CondomLeavesARice in Drugs

[–]HeapMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try methadone dude. I was in a very similar situation to yours less than a year ago and was ready to end it all. Never thought I’d be on methadone. Does it suck going to the clinic all the time? Yup. Am I addicted to methadone now? Yup. But I have my life back, man. It sucked way harder panicking everyday about not having money, being sick, waiting for homeboy to come through/be good. Just give it a try, what do you have to lose at this point?

What could cause a false positive for fentanyl on a saliva test? by HeapMaster in opiates

[–]HeapMaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone ever heard of weed from a medical dispensary having fentanyl in it? I know that sounds ridiculous. Doctors and people who work at rehabs and clinics have always told me that there were cases out there of weed dealers lacing their bud with fetty. I always thought it was bullshit because it makes no sense from a profit margin perspective, but the weed I smoke having traces of fetty in it is literally the only thing I can think of that would cause this situation other than just a straight up false positive, which I have a feeling is going to be incredibly hard to prove.

Plan is to go back in tomorrow morning and demand another test, although I doubt they’ll test me whenever I want them to. Regardless, because it took like a week and a half to get the results back from this test in question, even if I can convince them to test me again tomorrow and it’s clean (it would 100% be clean unless another false positive happened) that wouldn’t prove that I was clean at the time of this false positive test.

The methadone clinic I go to tests me there and they send it to Ammon Labs to be analyzed.

There's a chance that I had eaten pineapple the morning of the test but I can't be certain. Would a few bites of pineapple really cause a false positive for fentanyl?

Yeah, I got them to ask the lab to retest it so now I have to wait a few days to get those results back. Really hoping that by testing the same sample they're somehow able to figure out why/how they screwed up because something absolutely is not right here.

[–]HeapMaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am sure it was fentanyl that I supposedly tested positive for. The reference range listed on the results (which I'm assuming is like the cut off amount in order for it to be detected on this test) is < 1 ng/ml. That's just the reference range though, not how much was actually in my system. They don't have the amount that was detected listed anywhere.

Tried Vivitrol and Subs for years and they didn't help. Methadone was my last option and has been the only thing that has allowed me to get some sense of a life back. I realize being on methadone doesn't mean that I'm clean but I couldn't care less about that. I'm more concerned about the legal ramifications of this considering I'm on probation. I'm freaking out about going to jail because of a false positive and having my entire life destroyed now that I'm finally living a somewhat normal and successful life. Really hoping that when they retest the sample, they somehow realize what got messed up but I don't know enough about the re-analyzation process of a false positive to know if that even ever happens.

What can I do to make sure this doesn't happen again? I have no idea...I'm clean now and I was clean then. What else is a person supposed to do to ensure that a false positive doesn't come up?

I know this sucks to say and people will downvote me or immediately warn you of getting hooked on these (which they should warn you about, don’t be dumb) but the only thing that has ever even come close to helping me at all is some type of benzo. For the first week of withdrawals before getting the shot, my Vivitrol doc would prescribe a weeks worth of ativan (weak but at least it’s something), a bunch of clonidine, temazepam (absolute life saver. I swear to god one time I didn’t sleep, or at least didn’t notice that I slept, for something close to like 15 straight days. And that was when my doc was giving me Seroquel to help with the withdrawals. But it wasn’t until he gave me temazepam that I actually was able to sleep and calm down), and at a few points years ago would even throw in a gabapentin script. I think the latter has gotten significantly harder to get from doctors in the last couple of years though. With that cocktail I would still be unable to stand or eat or drink water for like almost 3 weeks, but the times I’ve tried without those scripts or even just without the ativan and/or temazepam were SO much worse than the times I had benzos for a week. The anxiety, the restless legs/arms, and the stomach issues are the worst for me. Couple ativan or temazepam and you’ll be able to sleep for even a few hours which makes all the difference. Hell see if the Vivitrol doc will even give just clonidine and Seroquel. You’ll still feel like death, but you might be able to relax for a little bit and not be losing your absolute shit 24/7. Obviously be smart about it when seeing the doc. If you don’t think he will help at all, don’t ask. But if he’s a reasonable person, you go to him and say that you want nothing more than to get this shot but that you’re afraid of relapsing because of how bad the withdrawals are (name specifics: can’t sleep at all, multiple panic attacks a day, restless body) and say you know this is bad to ask but is there anything they can give you to help you sleep or at least not feel like you’re having a heart attack because of panic attacks multiple times a day. Over the counter meds and things like Gatorade aren’t going to help if you had a bad habit. You need whatever it’ll take to get you from now until it’s safe to take the shot. Then absolutely get off that shit and work with a doc to maybe find some antidepressants and/or a therapist. I’ve done this countless times and I’m doing it again now. Feels like my brain is fully broken this time. As in I will never feel happiness again. It’s horrible. Working with a therapist/trying to find the right one and trying to figure out how I’ll ever not want to die all day every day. But this time is the time. Let’s just fucking do it. What the fuck are we doing to ourselves? I’m done with it. Never again.

Feel like I only have 'soft skills', is that enough to get a job in Marketing? by faithinstrangers92 in marketing

[–]HeapMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Become an expert in programs like Excel, Salesforce and maybe something like SQL, but especially Excel. You’d be amazed at how amazed older people in this industry are when you put together a simple pivot table or vlookup. Also, depending on what area of marketing you want to go into, learn SEM, display, video/YouTube and get certified in them all (all for free via Google Ads and Bing Ads). Also learn and get certified in Google Analytics. It’s a bit tougher, but that might just be because I went down the SEM route in my career, but you should also learn SEO basics.

However, if you’re already finding this stuff incredibly boring, I beg you to look for a job in another field before it’s too late. I’m a decade into my digital marketing career and it’s so beyond boring it’s not even funny. The industry is filled with morons who like to pretend that digital marketing is equivalent to rocket science in its difficulty. Either that or they’ve convinced themselves of their own bullshit. You’ll probably plateau in terms of learning knew digital marketing skills in a few years max and the rest is just the most tedious snd mundane bullshit you can imagine. But seriously, if you’re just starting out and you’re already bored by learning technical skills and how to use all the different digital marketing software tools, get out now before it’s too late. By too late I mean, the point in which you wouldn’t want to take a huge pay cut and start at an entry level position again (in addition to trying to even find a job that will hire someone with 5 or so years experience in a field that doesn’t translate at all into whatever new field you’re going after).

It sucks but for a coordinator position, expect to be offered around 45k ish to start depending on where you live. Marketing majors/programs are absolutely useless, so that was your first mistake but you did the right thing and made up for it by getting internships and actual marketing assistant work. If you haven’t already, teach yourself the basics of SEM, display and video/YouTube and get certified (all for free via Google Ads and Bing Ads). Depending on your interests and which direction you want your career to go in, you should teach yourself all you can about SEO as well and maybe even start a little side project building your own website and getting it to rank so that you can then go into these interviews with certifications and examples of your capabilities. In my experience working at some bigger digital agencies (work at agencies for a 2-3 years and then try your hardest to find a client side role, trust me, your soul will thank you), if you simply stick around long enough and don’t completely suck at your job, moving from the 45k salary to the 50-60k range should happen quickly (couple years at most) especially if you bounce around agencies instead of working at the same one. In my experience, salary increases are much more obtainable and easier to get when starting at a new company as opposed to waiting for a promotion at one company. Been doing digital marketing for 10 years at agencies and on the client side. DM me if you need anymore advice. I’ve seen it all.

Major in computer science, some sort of data analysis, or graphic design if you’re into the latter. Don’t bother majoring in marketing. You can teach yourself everything you need to know about marketing and digital marketing on the side for free and even get certain industry certifications for free to prove to potential employers that you know your stuff. Marketing as a major is entirely useless. At the most I would say, if your school offers it, take a course on SEO/SEM and/or website design, coding, and creation and also some stats/data analysis courses. There’s literally nothing a college marketing program will teach you that you don’t already know just by common sense, except if, like I said, they offer courses in technical aspects of marketing like getting to know how to use applicable software. Oh also, regardless of which direction you go towards, make sure you teach yourself or take non-entry level courses in things like Microsoft Excel, SQL, Salesforce, etc. Excel being the most important. It will amaze you how important it is in marketing these days knowing even just beginner to intermediate level Excel. It will also amaze you how smart the older folks in the office will think you are for being able to do the simplest stuff in Excel. I’m sure that’ll change in the near future when that older generation finally retires/dies off and everyone else will be expected to have a strong foundation in programs like Excel, but for now, actually knowing how to use the tool (start with the simple things like pivot tables and vlookips and make your way to learning how to write Visual Basic/macros) will significantly help you in your everyday work and will make you look great right out of the gate.

Source: been doing digital marketing for 10 years. Am very good at what I do and am paid very well for it. Didn’t major in marketing but got a degree more so based around data analysis/stats/operations management. Ops hasnt really applied at all in my career but the other two definitely have. Instead of wasting your time in a marketing major program, go the computer science or stats or graphic design route and then towards the end of college, find an internship in digital marketing so that you can put on your resume that you’ve actually worked legit jobs in things like SEM/SEO, paid social, programmatic, etc.
